When he noticed that she has lost concious, he removed his teeth and looked at her with his eyes red as a burning coals.
Then,he shut down his eyes, stood up from the chair and walked towards the table, picked up the bowl on top of it.
He poured some water inside the bowl, picked up a cloth and walked to the bed.
He sat and soaked the cloth inside the bowl, squeezed it and put it on her forehead for some minutes and then put the bowl to another side.
And watched her with keen interest. He was confused, bothered; not knowing what to do.
Modeok later opens her eyes and looked at his side, and they had an eye contact.
“Wh…at…. did you do to me?” Modeok stammered, feeling unbearable pains in her neck.
“I marked you!” He declared.
“Marked me? Why? I meant; since I wasn’t ready for it yet..”
“I had no other choice;if you want to go back to him, you can go.” Ha-da said, and she looked at him astonishingly.
“What….. do you…. mean? Haven’t you forgiven me? I thought you..”
“I have, but something else came up.” Ha-da said.
“Something else came up? What came up? Is everything alright?” Modeok asked with concern and she sat up.
“I don’t know even know what to say. But, have you been feeling sickly lately.”He asked.
“Yes.”She replied, staring at him; confused.
“Why don’t you informed me before now?”
“I thought it wasn’t something quite serious. I’m sorry.” Modeok said, with a pleading voice.
“Actually, I’m confused. I’m not sure if you’re pregnant or not. Your body developed pregnancy symptoms but yet it doesn’t look like you’re pregnant.” Ha-da declared.
“I don’t quite get you,are you trying to tell me that I’m pregnant?” Modeok asked, with her eyes glistering with tears but she was forcing it back.
“Yes.”
The stored tears continued to flowed down her cheeks.
“So, that was why you wants me to go back there? Did you really want me to go back to him just because I’m carrying his baby? I thought you loved me…wh…”
“Yes, I loved you. But it isn’t something normal me keeping someone else child with me. That’s why I claimed you;he won’t be able to mate with you if he saw my mark.
After you gave birth, I’ll take you back. But right now, you need to go back to him;every child needs their father’s love…”

“I h@të you, Ha-da!” She yelled and lay on the bed, crying. For him not to be too emotionally disturb, he went out of the suite.

“I can’t believe despite the torture, she refuses to tells us the truth!” Nam ji Hyun cursed.
“Your Highness, I think she divulge it to someone she trusted in case we killed her. But I haven’t figure out it yet.” Sook said, bowing.
“Ha-da knows that we killed his mom and yet he acted mute. He had known too much about our secrets that’s why master wanted him dead.
We need to find a way to kill him very soon. I think iseul was only to make me fretted and I won’t. I was thinking of poisoning him.” Nam ji Hyun divulge her plan.
“But, how’re we going to do so? Lord Ha-da always careful with what he eat and drink. How’s that going to work? Your Highness.” Sook asked.

“Can I visit my granny’s grave before I leave?” She asked,as she entered into the suite.
“Sure. When did you planned on visiting her grave?” He asked.
“Can we go now?”

Modeok went inside to pick something and came out few minutes later.

Ha-da and Modeok walked to Mrs. Ae-cha’s grave. Modeok knelt down in front of the grave.
And began to sob.
“Granny, where’re you? You have dropped a hard seed on a hard rock you expected it to germinate from where would it get manure to survive? You have dropped me among throns and are choking me to death, how did I grow well?
Granny, you have dropped the seed of a sweet specie where the birds can easily spot on and eat without anyone to defend it.
Why did you failed your promises to me? Your poor little darling is really suffering. Why?! Granny,why did you leave me alone!” Modeok muttered as she sobbed.
Ha-da patted her gently on the back.
“She doesn’t mean to make you suffer? Though, I was once a human and I know how it felt to loss your beloved ones, but wherever she’s, she’ll always be by your side.
Even though, you wouldn’t get to see her again. Your granny loves you if not for the love she has for you, she would have died soon.
You can’t blame her.” Ha-da solaced her and put his flowers on her grave.
“Dear Mrs. Ae-cha,it being a month since you died, but you’re forever in her heart and mine.
It quite a pity I didn’t get to tell you how much I appreciated you for taking good care of your grand daughter. You stood as her mother and father, she’s forever grateful to you.
May your soul rest in perfect peace!” Ha-da said.
Modeok also drop her flowers on the grave and fell in his arms.
“Granny, I really missed you! I became like this because of you, you have turned the heart of a innocent mind to unpure mind. I loss my innocence to someone I never knew, I never love, someone I h@tëd a lot.
I’m sorry I failed you. I wasn’t able to fulfill the promises I made to you. But every year, I’ll always come here to give you some precious things.
I’ll never forget those days you kept me warm in your arms. I love you so much, granny..”

{Hwan’s suite} =( Same day)
“Your Majesty, Lord Ha-da wants to see you.” The servant said, from outside.
“Let him in.” Hwan said, from inside and sipped his tea.
The servant opens the door, they entered and he closed the door back.
“Greetings, Your Majesty…” They both greeted, bowing.
“Have your seats.” Hwan said, casually
“What brings you here?” He added.
“We came here for an important information.”
“Which’s?”
“Modeok’s carrying your baby.” Ha-da declared.
“Carrying my baby? As how? How are you so sure I was the father of the child?”
“Coz I never slept with any other man except you!” Modeok said and Hwan glare at her.
“She said the truth; I haven’t slept with her yet.” Ha-da defended.
“I don’t accept pregnancies from my slaves even if you’re pregnant and I happens to be the father of the child.” Ha-da said, coldly.
“How can you be so wicked!? You slept with me everyday and yet you’re denying what’s yours? I’m not your slave!” Modeok said, pluckily.
“You should have known I don’t tolerate my slaves speaking rudely to me if hot for the person that came with you you..”
“Yes, you would do what you can do the best!” She said, cutting him off.
“Get your wife out of here, I don’t take pregnancies. If she stayed here,her life would be worst than what she experience before.
Isn’t she your mate? If you can’t withstand it, you should reject her.” Hwan said.
“I can never do that. You must let her live here as your wife and not your slave or I tell mother!” Ha-da said, threatenedly.
“Are you trying to threatened me?”
“Of course, you know I can’t. Accept her or I tell mother.”
“Okay.” Hwan finally agreed.
“She can’t be regarded as my wife, but “Concubine” If she doesn’t want to accept the title, you may leave with her.”

“Ha-da?” She called, trying to disagree but he looked at her and smiled at her.
Few minutes later, they both left the suite.
“Ha-da’s really crossing his boundaries! She’ll bear the consequences.” Hwan said, angrily throwing the books on the table in anger.

Modeok was seen dressing for by some maids. After dressing her up, they left and she looked at herself in the mirror. She couldn’t believe she was d@mn so pretty.
A maid stept into her suite.
“Good evening my lady, I’ll be your personal maid henceforth.” The maid said, bowing.
“I don’t want a maid.” She said, sadly.
“But His Majesty asked me to. He wants you to come and see him at the dinning.
“What!?” Modeok exclaimed, facing her.
“He wants me to come and see him?!”
“Yes, and we’re running out of time. His Majesty disliked lateness.” The maid declared.

Modeok and her personal maid together with some maids were going to the dinning,on their way they met Nam ji Hyun and instead of her to stop and greet her, Modeok walked past her and her maids followed her.
Sook wanted to stop her, but Nam ji Hyun stopped her.

The maids served them their meals. Meanwhile, only Nam ji Hyun,Hwan and Modeok was there.
Modeok noticed Nam ji Hyun had been glaring at her, but she kept mute.
And she soon began to stare at her while eating.
“Why’re you staring at me like that? Concubine Modeok.” Nam said, innocently.
“I should be the one asking Your Highness the reason why you have been glaring at me since we arrived here.
No one dare stares at the king’s concubine that way or are you jealous because I’m more prettier than you?” Concubine Modeok asked, staring at her in the eyes with confidence…
