Chapter 70
(Foul Game)
The EWR airplane landed at New York at exactly
6pm. Wizard and Jade alighted, with their
luggage each. Their cars were yet to arrive
through the cargo plane.
“Are we waiting for the cars?” Jade asked. He
shook his head, typing into his phone. “It’s late
already…we need to be in the clan as soon as
possible. I have made provisions for the cars’
safety, someone I know will take charge of it for
now…he runs a car dealing company. He will be
here for it..I’ve given my statement” he replied
her. She sighed, gulping in.
They were both properly disguised, having face
cap to help hide their identity. “I need to call
Kyla” Jade noted, bringing out her phone. They
both walked out of the airport into the city. She
dialed Kyla’s number which rang for a while
before connecting.
“Jade ..where are you?” Kyla voiced out even
before she could speak. She sensed panic in her
voice for the first time..she knows that Kyla
cares much about her. She can’t afford to be a
disappointment, but that might be the case
though.
“Jade, are you there?” Kyla asked again, she
found her voice this time. “Yes boss, we are
currently in New York, we will take a cab now to
the main city. We will need transport back to the
clan” Jade noted
“Transport? What about your car?”
“It’s not arrived yet…We can’t wait any longer.”
“Yea that’s true…what route are you both
taking” she inquired. Jade returned the question
to Wizard.
“She’s asking of the route” “We’ll take the
countryside, along Adirondack Mountains,
taking the woods is the best option for our
safety” Wizard replied into the phone. “Fine…if
that’s the case, once you arrive the main city,
send a beep, a car will come for you two.” Kyla
replied, ending the call.
“Jade” Wizard called out, noticing how distance
she look. She hasn’t been herself right from the
plane. “Yes” “She has ended the call, come on,
let’s leave this place” he muttered, grabbing her
hand tightly in his. He felt her shudder. There is
something really wrong with her, it necessarily
might not be the death news affecting her. He
thought, placing a soft kiss on lips
“We are gonna be ok, trust me” he cooed. She
nodded, as they make their way to board a taxi.
A taxi drove by, as the driver popped his head
out of the window. “Hey…main city…you’re
going?” He questioned, as other cab drivers
would do. The duo looked at each other. Jade
shrugged. Wizard bent forward to speak with
him
“We will be taking the route towards Adirondack
Mountains….only us”
The cab man shook his head in disapproval .
“That route is the farthest route ever…it’s quite
dangerous” he noted with a snarl on his face,
pretending to turn on the ignition.
“We will double your pay” Jade spoke up. They
both know that no one will want to drive down
that path due to the myth behind those
mountains, so a little bribe might do. The cab
man sighed, contemplating.
“We will triple it…trust me” Wizard added. He
frown. “Ok fine…get in..the drive might be quite
bumpy, so use your belts.” He ordered as they
entered the vehicle.

The Woods★
A number of Hades’ men could be seen lurking
around the woods. Their spy from the airport
had given them clue on the route the duo were
taking; luckily, that was the woods decided on,
for the operation to be carried out.
Don and Mercury arrived, giving orders to the
men to spread out. Checking his phone, a smile
lit up his face on seeing the message sent.
“They got into the car of one of us” the
message read. “Good timing” he muttered
turning to Mercury.
“Are we gonna ki*ll them?” She asked, wanting
a positive answer. He smirked. “Not yet, I wanna
have a deal with Kyla. Two men are down, two
will be with us soon..that’s gonna be a good
bargain for the properties she own.
“She doesn’t look rich to me” Mercury snarled.
He chuckled. “A lady that has an underground
car industry isn’t poor; not to talk of some of her
father’s properties that she handles without
anyone’s knowledge. She is a low key babe….
but I did my assignment..that’s why I’m called
Don” he boasted, grabbing her hand as they
walk into the woods.

6:36pm
Jade’s POV
I took another deep breath for the umpteenth
time, as my eyes wander back to the front
mirror. I could feel the driver’s gaze on me only
to confirm it. He was staring at us again. This is
the fifth time I caught him doing that, and the
worst of all is that I feel this dark aura whenever
he stares.
I stated feeling uncomfortable with the journey
few minutes after it began, but Wizard has been
slightly calming me down by grabbing my hand
in his. He wears this smiley face whenever he
looks at me, mouthing the usual word he had
been saying right from the plane. “We are
gonna be ok”
We were already getting deep into the woods,
each side of the road is covered with tall trees
of all kind, only the sound of the car and
perhaps birds in the forest could be heard. My
panic increased; this strange feelings means
danger.
“Jade..” Wizard called out. Perhaps I zoned out.
“I want you to hold me” I said, trying to unlock
the seat belt, but it wouldn’t bulge.
“Wait, let me help you with it” Wizard proposed,
trying to unclamp it, but it seem futile
“And why the hell is this thing not coming off”
Wizard roared, trying out his; still the same.
“Füçk” he muttered.
“Don’t panic, the belt is meant to come off
when we arrive our location. That’s the way it
does” the driver noted. “”And what’s that
supposed to mean, why ask us to fix it in the
first place?” Wizard yelled angrily.
“Just be patient..I tell you, it’s going be fine
when we get….” He was yet to complete his
statement when some people dressed in black
with guns approach the car.
“d@mn…turn around” I scream, trying to pick
out my pen knife to cut the belt. I could feel my
heart in my chest. All I could hear was Wizards
loud voice ordering the driver to retreat, but the
unusual happened. The cab man brought out a
gun, corking it as he stepped on the brakes,
switching off the car engine.
“One more move from you two; then consider
yourselves dead” he threatened, stepping out of
the car. The other men came closer, wearing
wide smirks on their faces. Wizard grabbed my
hand, squeezing it tightly. That’s a reassuring
sigh.
The men were yet to open the door; we are
surrounded already, and our guns are not close
by, except my pen knife. Perhaps this is the only
chance we have left on earth, it will be a sin for
me to keep this news to myself without him
knowing.
“Wizard” I called out in a shaky voice. I could
feel his panic through his hand. He gulped in,
facing me with a quite disappointed face.
“I’m sorry Jade…just be strong please….we are
gonna get out of here.”
I don’t know if he is trying to make me feel
secured or has a plan in mind, because all I see
is a lost game. They might ki*ll us..
“I’m pregnant” I dropped the bombshell, letting
out a tear. He turned sharply to look at me,
letting out a silent gasp as his hand loosen it’s
grib on mine. I know that I just added fuel to fire,
he would be feeling guilty and want to protect
me at all cost. His lips quivered as he tried
speaking, but was shut off as the door
forcefully open from each side, taking us
unaware; we got knocked out.

3:38am (JST)
Hilton Hotel★
Unable to sleep, Bruce stirred on his bed, picking
up his phone to cross check each message. He
has gotten Kyla’s message about returning to
the clan. He can’t believe that the Blood Clan
will be back on the game so soon. And the fact
that they succeeded in taking down both Mica
and Kelvin is worrying.
His mind flashed back to his moments with the
duo, he hasn’t been that friendly with Kelvin, but
he feel so hurt loosing him. Mica on the other
hand is a sweet lady; if anyone should die, he
wouldn’t think her as the first. When it come to
strength and intelligence, even Moonlight still
learns from her. Mica is one of the oldest
member of the clan, aside Jade; she is
considered the best.
Getting off the bed, he proceeded into the
bathroom, turning on the faucet to watch his
face. He stared at his reflexion in the wall mirror,
looking at how huge he had become over the
years. Another figure appeared behind in, her
features reflected in the mirror. She used the
blanket to cover her nude self, hugging him
from behind.
A pretty Japanese lady, who he found interest in
when he arrived the country. He has had a lot of
fun time with other ladies, but this one seem to
stick to him, cos of the communication aspect;
she speaks clear Britain English. Her beauty
isn’t dulling, she is one of the prettiest lady he
has seen here.
“Are you not sleeping?” She asked, sleepily. He
sighed. “Go back to bed Rei” he ordered. She
lingered for a while before breaking the hug
“You’re okay?” She inquired. He turned to face
her, pulling her into a tight hug. “I’m fine..just go
to sleep okay” he pecked her lips. She deepened
it.
“Ok…I will be waiting”
After she left, he walked towards the WC,
opening the top where he kept one of his
revolver. He had been having this weird feeling
of danger ever since the news got to me. He
feels insecure. He fixed in bullets in the
cartridge, corking and uncorking it.

I was yet to place it back when Rei’s scream got
to me. My heartbeat accelerated; the loud
scream turned into silent muffin, as silence took
in. Someone just broke into the room. I gently
placed my ear on the door, paying rasp
attention to the movement.The intruder seem to
be searching for me, and his footstep was
coming directly to the bathroom, but stopped
abruptly.
Perhaps waiting for me to step out, but I’m
smarter than that. With the corked gun in my
hand, I waited patiently for whosoever it is. The
footstep seem to be retreating; I gently step out
of the bathroom, sighting Rei sprawled on the
bed.
The dark room seem cold this time, perhaps
fear triggered it. It was also empty; the fellow
might have left. I walked towards her, checking
her pulse; it was faint. She is not yet dead, just
unconscious…thank gawd.
The feeling came again, I could feel it’s
presence. I could see the dark figure with the
side of my eyes. With my gun still in position, I
turned swiftly, taking a quick shot. He had
added a silencer to his gun; same goes for
mine.
“Argh…” The assassin grunt, firing a straight
shot which narrowly missed my shoulder.
“Füçk” I fired a quick shot, targeting his leg.
Perhaps I got him this time, he groaned loudly
falling to the ground. I took the opportunity to
kick off his gun, giving him a head cut.
“Who the hell are you” I questioned, grabbing
his throat. He smirked in pains, grunting.
“bas***d”
“Tell me now, or I’ll pull this bullet into your
brain” I snarled. He chuckled. “If you ki*ll me,
you lose..there are many of us out there…you
will be down in a twinkle of an eye…..”
I pulled a bullet into his head before he could
complete his statement. “Gawd…I need to leave
here immediately. I looked back at Rei, I can’t
leave her here….how will I get out.

Wolves Clan
Kyla’s POV
“Any news from Jade yet” I asked Evans who
seem to be on the system, trying to map out
their location. He sighed. “No” his reply seem
cold, to depict how tired he is. I gently caress his
hair; my other hand eased his tensed shoulders
“I’m sorry..I think I’m over stressing you” I
voiced out. He turned to face me. “You are the
one being stressed Kyla, and whereas we are in
this together…for the members, for the clan.”
He assured. “Thanks” I smiled sadly. It’s
already 7pm and Jade is yet to call back, I will
just have to reach them.
I called her line, it rang for a while without
anyone picking up. “She’s not picking” I
muttered, trying not to panic.
“Perhaps they got held up in traffic or
something” Evans chipped in. I shook my head.
“That’s not it, she should be picking her calls.
The men I sent to bring them are still waiting at
the stand point.”
I called again for that second time, It got
connected after the first ring. I placed it on my
ear, not wanting to speak at first. “Lady
Mafia….” Don’s voice sounded from the
background. I froze. I didn’t speak a word.
“I know that you are there…anyways, I know
you know the owner of this phone…and that
mean one thing…I don’t need to explain much..
” he paused, giving a devilish chuckle.
“A message will be sent to you soon…read it,
and report to the location, else…two gone, two
more will go.”
He dropped the call, and immediately a
message entered. The location given was
stated, but another message caught my sight.
It’s seem to have been sent about 30 minutes
ago, anonymously.
“If you love your men, check out Adirondack
Mountains…you have thirty minutes” it states
I let out a frustrated sigh.
“What is wrong?” Evans asked, standing to his
feet. I handed over the phone to him.
“Send message to the other members, trainees
and guards. We are leaving for Adirondack
Mountains” I coldly replied
“Is that where they were held up?” He asked. I
smirked. “Don is playing a foul game by
sending me a wrong location….now he has a
mole in his clan.
