AVERY’S POV
I stood up, smiling and feeling happy to see Gianna “Oh my… Gianna, I’m so happy to see you, how have you been?” I asked trying to embrace her.
“Don’t touch me!” She pushed me away, glaring at me.
She looks angry at me.
I frowned “Gigi, it’s been long since we’ve seen each other, what’s wrong?’
“What’s wrong?” She scoffed angrily “What’s wrong? You left me just like that without informing me. You didn’t even pick my calls or answer my text messages. Did I do anything to offend you?” She complained.
I shook my head “No Gigi…”
“Don’t call me Gigi! My name is Gianna! We’re no longer friends anymore so you don’t have any right to call me other names. I h@të you!” She yelled, attracting people’s attention.
I scoffed “Gianna, what are you talking about? We’re best friends.”
“We were best friends. Not anymore. Our so called friendship is over. I h@të you. I’m only here to look for my boyfriend. I hope you’ve not been seeing him behind my back?” She glared at me and walked away angrily.
I fake grinned at the people starring at me as I walked out of the restaurant.
“Gianna!” I called, trying to follow her but she’s gone.
I understand why she h@tës me but it hasn’t got into the extent she’ll just break up our friendship of 12 years.
If that’s her reaction, what about the prom night?
She’s even suspecting me and Rex. What do I do now? I can’t run away from here because this is where I’m schooling. I’m toast!
GIANNA’S POV
I’m just so mad at Avery. I can’t believe she broke the oath.
She left me, changed her institution without telling me. We even made promises that we shouldn’t leave each other and always go to the same place but No! She just wants to do what she wants.
Even my boyfriend left me without informing me. We were having such good times in Fred University but he just left me. I’ve never even sleep with him but I must.
Thank God I’m not going back to Fred University again because I’ve bought all University report cards and certificates so I’ve finished my university. Now I can spend more time with Rex baby.
And for Avery, I’ll make sure she goes through what I went through for the past few months. Been alone. No friends!
I smirked evilly as I walked off.
REX’S POV
I was in on my bed, in black tank top and black shorts, throwing a tennis ball to the wall as it bounces back.
I couldn’t shake off my feelings for Avery but I have to.
I love her but I don’t even know if she loves me back. Because she just left me, unexpectedly.
I can’t move on with someone else, not even Gianna.
My door was knocked.
“Go away!” I yelled angrily.
The person knocked again.
I groaned as I stood from my bed and went to open the door.
My eyes got widened and saw Gianna standing in front of me. What’s she doing here?
“Gianna?” I said in a high pitched voice.
She smiled, dressed like she’s a stripper, with her caked makeup and pink strapless mini dress.
“Hey baby, how are you?” She asked.
“What did you want?” I asked rudely.
She scoffed “Didn’t you miss me? You left me just like how my best friend did. Come on. Let’s go inside.” She said as she walked in without my permission.
“Gianna…”
“Call me Gigi. I love it when you call me that.” She hugged my neck.
I pushed her away “For God sake, I told you it’s over!”
“It’s not over till I say it’s over, and it will never be because I wanna marry you.” She said.
I cringed inwardly “Just get out.”
“No! I’m here because of you. I drop out of school because of you. Please don’t leave me.” She hugged me tightly.
“Argh!” She yelled as I pulled her hair backwards and left the bedroom, then locked the door.
“Rex! Open the door!!!” She yelled banging the door angrily.
If she can’t leave my bedroom, then I will. She’s just too adamant and selfish. I h@të that.
I know where I can sleep in, and I know she’ll not like it but I can fix it for her.
AVERY’S POV
After bathing, I decided not to use towel because I’m the only one in the room and my door’s locked.
I wore my white strapless bra top exposing my cleavages and my black T-shape undies.
I took my white towel and came out of the bathroom, rubbing my hair with the towel.
“Argh!” I shouted as I saw Rex sitting on my bed, reading a novel.
He glanced at me almost naked and went back to his book.
I even thought he’s gonna drool over me or seduce me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“Well, there’re some snafu in my bedroom and I have no place to sleep so I came here.” He explained.
“In the girls hostel?” I asked.
He nodded “Yeah. I’m sorry if I’m making you uncomfortable. Don’t worry, we’ll create a pillow wall between us.”
“Or you can just get out. How did you even get in. I thought my door’s locked.” I said frowning.
“Yeah, you locked it. But I have the key.” He said, wriggling his keys.
“Why are you always trying to torture me?” I asked.
“Because I love it, and I’m just looking for a place to sleep. Okay? Don’t worry,just for the night.” He said without stealing a glance at me.
Well it’s better and so annoying that he’s not starring at my body.
I rolled my eyes as I wore my black pyjamas dress, made a pillow wall between both of us, lay down on my bed, covered my body with my black duvet.
I’m supposed to feel uncomfortable but I feel safe with with him. I wish he can just cuddle me tightly and snuggle.

I sighed softly as I dozed off to sleep.
