*Jason’s POV*
“This is my bestfriend Alejandro. I hope you guys don’t mind, he doesn’t have much friends in the pack and I wanted to bring him out as much as I can to get him more involved in our pack since he moved here a few months ago “. Vivian replies while pulling Alejandro’s arm so he can stand in front of Cindy now who was examining him suspiciously.
“Just move here few months ago? You wouldn’t happen to be the boy that moved into the pack with the woman who lives at the edge of the kingdom?”. She asks making me and Vivian look towards her confused.
“Yes, my mother and I moved into the small blue house right at the edge of your kingdom your majesty”. He answers back as she laughs.
“No need to call me all that royalty titles, I’ve been retired of my thrown and crown, which was very needed ever since my beautiful daughter in law married my hot headed son”. She rolls her eyes playfully before the loud sound of music startled her.
We all turned seeing the doors to our packed ballroom opened and her nephew Sam walked out with his mate linked to him by her arm.
“I was in search of my stunning auntie who promised me a dance tonight, but am surprised to see you outside of the ballroom”. He says smiling at Cindy who looks like she just remembered what he said.
“Oh! Yes, sorry Sam. I was trying to meet the wonderful mate of our dear Johnny boy here. After all he is the last of you children to find a mate”. She says gesturing Sam towards my mate who was entranced by the gown Sam’s mate was wearing.
“It’s nice to finally meet the girl my cousin in law here has been so smitten about ever since he came home raving about meeting you under the bleachers at school”. Sam’s chuckles while shaking Vivian’s hand as she smiles shyly at his words.
“My name is-“. before Sam’s mate could finish, Vivian answered back excitedly shocking all of us.
“Princess Eleanor of the blood moon pack and kingdom. it’s such an honor to meet you, your highness. I’m a very big fan of your clothing designs and your history of influencing alot of kingdoms to finally let female wolves become warriors alongside men during wars in our community”. Vivian explain quickly while shaking Eleanor hand happily making Sam laugh at how excited she was to meet his mate.
“I like you already, what’s your name?”. Eleanor ask as Vivian replies quickly.
“When you come to our wedding next weekend, I’d be more than happy to give you some beautiful gowns I’ll have left over from my fashion show I’ll be having the before”. Eleanor comments making my mate look like she was about to faint in shock at the princess words.
“If you don’t mind, we have to announce our engagement celebration speech in the ballroom”. Sam says nodding at Vivian as she nods quickly letting them head inside the ballroom before walking up to me excitedly.
“You’re taking me to their wedding right?”. She asks in concern as I laughed before nodding.
“Anything for you”. I reply as she hug me tightly as I looked over seeing Alejandro doing something that looked familiar to what I did the first night I met Vivian.
“Alejandro what are you doing?”. Vivian asks noticing him now as I held her back from going to him when he followed his senses into the ballroom.
“Holy Sh|t!”. Vivian gasps as I calmed her down from another one of her excitement burst.
“He smells his mate right? Oh am I going crazy?”. She gasps while whispering as I laughed while leading her into the ballroom following Alejandro’s path.
As soon as we walked into the ballroom, the sight of a large gray wolf was now standing in the middle of the ballroom where everyone was standing aside except for princess Eleanor and her father, King Nicholas.
“Wait! is Alejandro’s mate-“. before Vivian could finish saying what every one in the room was thinking, the sound of Alejandro’s growl was heard throughout the whole castle.
“Mate”. A light voice says from behind princess Eleanor father as we all watched the sight of a girl that looked the complete opposite of princess Eleanor shove her way past the king’s guarding body just to wrap her short arms around Alejandro’s large gray wolf.
We all know who it was just by the voice and the fact that it was Princess Eleanor little sister. The most known of the two daughters, princess Eleanor, the oldest and the daughter from his first mate who was killed just a few months before princess Eleanor turned 8.
The younger sister on the other hand isn’t known at all, compared to her sister that everyone knows and heard of. Phoebe was the daughter that people disliked and never took notice of because of the fact that she was the child birthed by the king 2nd mate, Queen Margaret which some people in the kingdom disliked and misjudged just because she was seen as the other woman after Queen Elena death.
“Who are you growling at you low life peasant?! I demand you to release my daughter or I’ll remove her myself and throw you into the dungeons right after.
The king shouts before the view of Kaden and Sam running in between the main heated level of angry tension flowing throughout the whole castle.
“What is going on here?!”. Kaden snaps trying to create space in between the protective large wolf and the overprotective father.
“Tell this scoundrel to let go of my daughter at once!”. King Nicholas snaps at Kaden before a voice that surprised all of us spoke up for the first time in front of not only her family but everyone in the kingdom.
“No! I will not let you take my mate away from me!”. Princess Phoebe shouts now standing protectively in front of Alejandro.
“You can shun me all you want, complain all day about how I’m the daughter you regret making to everyone in the kingdom, but you will not take away the one thing I have that will bring me happiness “. She says turning to look at Alejandro.
“What kind of happiness will a peasant wolf give you?! He knows nothing of royalty! Your a princess, Phoebe and I will not let some low life peasant marry or be your mate. Reject him at once and come back to my side this instant”. King Nicholas continues yelling at his daughter.
“No! I have done everything you’ve asked for both as a daughter and princess, all I’ll ever ask for now is to leave me to be with my mate”. She replies as the King gesture his men to grab his daughter only to have his other daughter stand in front of her.
“I agree with my baby sister father, If you can accept me being happily married next weekend with my mate, then accept her mate to be happy with her”. Princess Eleanor says now as her sister hold onto her mate in desperation.
“Your mate is of royal blood, I already know just by the scent and look of his wolf that he isn’t of any royal blood and very much low ranking in his pack. I won’t stand to watch any of my children be mated with-“. before he could finish, his eldest daughter caught him off quickly silencing him in a flash.
“Enough! I have fought for the right of women to have their freedom for so long and it will not end tonight because of the fact that my father is too selfish to look past ranks and labels to let his own flesh and blood be happy with the person the moon goddess herself chose to make her happy. So let them be or else you’ll not only lose one but both of your daughters due to loving the role of being a King more than being a father “. Princess Eleanor declares as her father stays silent for the first time.
It was a long silence before the king groaned and walked away with his guards by his side.
“My bestfriend is mate’s with a princess!”. Vivian shouts out of nowhere while running into princess Phoebe’s arms as she looked surprised at my mate’s gesture making princess Eleanor and myself laugh.
“Let’s get this ball back on track! Alejandro sweetie, can you like? I don’t know, turn back? John can give you some clothes since you guys look the same size”. Cindy says as I nod before gesturing Alejandro to follow me up to my room in the castle.
