An hour later, Jocelyn burst back into the room screaming excitedly.
There was a pregnancy test strip in her hand as she hastily snatched up her phone and dialled Paula’s line.
“I’m pregnant!!! Jocelyn screamed happily into the phone.
Paula rejoiced with her and promised to come with Dianne in an hour’s time.
Jocelyn cut the call and just then, a soft knock came on the door and the maid stuck her head into the room.
“Ma’am? Are you okay?” She asked.
Jocelyn smiled and nodded. “I’m perfectly fine! You can go.”
“Okay ma’am.” The maid replied and withdrew.
Jocelyn screamed out excitedly again! She was pregnant! She couldn’t contain her joy.
“I should call Eddie immediately.” Jocelyn mumbled to herself and took her phone.
Just as she was about to dial Eddie’s line, another knock came on the door.
Jocelyn looked up and rolled her eyes. “I told you to go Susan. I’m fine.” The knock came again and Jocelyn hesitated, wondering if it was someone else outside her door.
Slowly, she walked to the door and opened. Then gasped,
It was a guy, dressed up like an electrician. Before Jocelyn could say “Jack”, the guy grabbed her, pressed a white cloth on her face her face and knotted her out of breath.
Jocelyn fell into his arms and fell into a deep sleep.

**At the secret house**
Leo stood at the front lawn of the house and watched as Mac carried Jocelyn carefully out of the car and placed her carefully on his shoulder before walking towards the main entrance.
Leo stared on until Mac disappeared out of sight. He shrugged, trying to justify himself.
He was doing it for that money. Once he collects his money, he’s gonna walk out of the job.

He got into the room and saw Mac tucking Jocelyn into bed. “How long does he plan on keeping her here?”
Mac turned to look at him. “That’s none of your business. Just do what you are here for.” Mac retorted.
Leo made a face and glanced over at Jocelyn’s sleeping face. “You seem to be taking good care of her.”
“She is boss’s bride. They were gonna get married but something came up. She’s very special to him so if you value your life, take good care of her.”
Leo was silent. He was staring at Jocelyn. He knew she would wake up any moment and would have to prepare himself to answer her questions and hold her down against her will.
He wasn’t sure if he could do it, but the thought of the huge amount of money he would be receiving gave him the confidence.
“I will be leaving now. Put a call across to me when she wakes up.” Mac said and Leo nodded.
Few minutes later, he was all alone with Jocelyn.
She was beautiful…who wouldn’t want her to be his bride?
“Adam is such a psychopath. He doesn’t have to do this to get a woman beside him. Well….I think he’s doing me a favor. That money is mine……”
Jocelyn’s sneezing cut him short. He slowly turned to look at her and saw her opening her eyes.
Jocelyn was fully looking awake now. She stared around, so confused.
She tried remembering what happened moments ago and when she finally did, she looked frantically about and saw Leo. Then screamed.
“Shhh! I’m not gonna hurt you.” Leo quickly said, rasing his hands up.
Jocelyn panted heavily, her hands grabbing her stomach as though her life depended on it.
Leo noticed this and frowned. “Are you feeling pain there? Should I get you water?”
“Where am I?” Jocelyn asked with a look of fright all over her face.
“You are somewhere save….”
“This is not my house! Where’s the man that brought me here? Why am I here!” Jocelyn screamed.
“You will find out soon enough.” Leo said and flipped out his phone.
Jocelyn watched him from the corner of her eyes and glanced at the door.
It was closed. She anticipated her escape move and figured out the best way to hit the guy in the room.
Although he was trying to make a call, his eyes were also on Jocelyn.
He knew she would try to escape and he was getting ready to hold her down.
Just like he anticipated, Jocelyn jumped out of the bed, rushed at him and tried grabbing him from behind.
Leo’s phone slipped out of his hand just as the other line came alive.
Jocelyn bit him hard on his back and he yelped out.
She made for the door but Leo recovered immediately and pulled her back.
“Let go of me!!” Jocelyn cried, kicking her legs in the air as Leo pulled her back into the room.
“You have to calm down! I don’t wanna have to tie you!” Leo said with pains. His back was hurting him like hell.
“Let me go please!” Jocelyn cried as Leo flung her back into the bed. “Stay still! I’m not gonna hurt you!”
“I want to go home! Please!!!” Jocelyn cried.
The door opened and Mac came in, his eyes on Jocelyn.
“It was you! Oh no….oh no…now I recognize you! Aren’t you…? Oh my God. Adam!!” Jocelyn shouted, amazed that Adam could get her abducted.
“Adam is behind this, right?” Jocelyn asked, Slowly calming down.
Mac breathed in and looked at her. “He has ordered you to stay here until you decide to become his woman again.”
Jocelyn scoffed and stood up from the bed and wrapped her arms around her chest. “You guys are bunch of jokers. Big jokers! I’m married! You know what you are doing right? This is a case of kidnap and you know what big of an offence it is.”
“I’m sorry Jocelyn. I’m only doing my job. Don’t try to escape. This house is completely out of town and it’s completely secured from outside. This guy is only here to take care of your needs pending the time you stop being stubborn.” Mac replied softly.
Jocelyn shook her head as tears rushed down her face. “No…no Mac..you can’t do this to me. Get me the hell of of here!”
Mac shook his head. “I’m sorry.” He Said and started moving out of the room.
Jocelyn sat on the bed and started crying. She sniffed and looked and looked up at the men.
“You still have your chance to release me now and free yourself from this crime. If the police finds me then you will go down with that lunatic!” Jocelyn cried.
Mac shook his head. “The police is never gonna find you here. Enough of the chitchat. I’m going. Boss will be here to see you soon.”
Jocelyn scoffed as she watched Mac walking to the door. “You are nothing but his pushover. You might be probably older than him but he’s ordering you around!” She screamed after him.
“Yes. Because of the money I get. I have no choice.” Mac replied and left the room.
Jocelyn glanced at Leo and shook her head. “You should be in school right now. Why are you here, abducting a lady? I will never forgive you for this!”
Leo sighed. “Calm down, okay? Please. It’s not my fault. It wasn’t I who abducted you. I’m just here to take care of you. You should even be grateful for that.”
“You are part of the crime for keeping me here all because of the money you are gonna be receiving. Isn’t that wicked?” Jocelyn asked.
Leo shrugged. “I’m sorry…”
The door opened and Adam slowly walked in.
Jocelyn gasped and stood up. “Why are you doing this to me?”
Adam smiled as he walked closer to her. “I should be asking you the sane question, my dear. Why are you doing this to me?”
“What did I ever do to you other than telling you things can’t work out between us?” Jocelyn asked as a tear dropped from her eyes.
“You know I h@të seeing you crying.”
“d@mn you!” Jocelyn screamed at him. “Locking me up here is never gonna change anything rather it will make things worst for you!”
“Then be my guest. You will be locked up here till you sign the divorce papers.”
“What divorce papers are you talking about?”
“You will divorce your so called husband in three days else…..you will remain here…in my arms.” Adam said and roared out a laughter while Jocelyn stared on. She was dumbfounded.

“Angel…I’m home.” Eddie called as he came into the room and met it empty. Still smiling he went into the bathroom only to find it empty too.
He frowned slightly, wondering where she’s gone to. He went back downstairs and called on the maid. “Where’s my wife?”
“She was up in her room the last time I saw her.” The maid replied.
“Are you sure? She didn’t tell you where she was going to.” Eddie asked.
“No sir. I don’t think she left the house.” The maid said and glanced up at the stairs.
“So….is she hanging on the ceiling? What are you talking about?” Eddie asked again and the maid shrugged.
“Okay. Maybe she went to visit the hospital. She wasn’t feeling all too well this morning.”
“She wouldn’t have left without calling me. Who else came to the house today after I left for work?”
“Ma’am’s Mother. She was here but I didn’t know when she left.”
“Could she have followed her out? No. Jocelyn wouldn’t leave the house without calling me.” Eddie said. He turned around and ran back upstairs to try Jocelyn’s line.
He got into the room, took his phone and quickly dialled her line.
But as soon as the line was dialled, he started hearing a phone ringing right inside the room.
He turned, his eyes scanning the floor and trying to trace where the phone was ringing from.
Then he saw the phone on the floor, under the bed but could still see it from where he was standing.
Now he stared at the phone. extremely worried.

Rihanna frowned angrily as she stated at Adam’s profile, surprised that Jocelyn almost became his wife.
She came to know about Adam when she employed someone to do the background check up.
Now, all that was in her mind was to find this Adam who seemed to be popular to her and make plans with him.
She closed her laptop and undressed before walking into the bathroom.
She lodged in a hotel because she didn’t want anyone to come home looking for her and asking her why she has not been coming to work.
To her, she was now on a revenge mission rather than being a nurse.
Few mins later, she came back into the room. Dripping wet.
After dressing up, she took her car keys and left the house with Adam’s address.

Dianne and Paula roamed all over the house, calling out for Jocelyn. It was almost 8 in the night and no one heard anything from her.
Angeline was in the living room, crying here eyes out while Eddie was still out, trying to find his wife.
Everyone was in panic and agony, especially Paula who knew that Jocelyn was pregnant. She didn’t tell anyone yet; not even Dianne.
She was expecting Jocelyn to break the news to everyone. From the look of things, she figured out no one knew about it yet and she couldn’t bring herself to say it because she believed it will only increase the panic.
Half an hour later, Eddie returned home, looking like a drunk. He couldn’t find Jocelyn.
Now everyone knew she has been kidnapped. It was glaring at them clearly in the eyes.
“Who could have done this?” Eddie mumbled as he stood in front of the window.
“I think we should report this to the police already.” Dianne’s trembling voice came.
“It’s late. We should do that first thing in the morning.” Paula suggested.
Angeline sniffed. “I shouldn’t have left the house. I guess it was all a prank to get me out of the house so they could take Jocelyn away.”
Everyone turned to look at her.
“Who pranked you?” Eddie asked.
“Some fair business call I got when I was with Jocelyn in the house. It turned out to be a prank call.”
Eddie sighed and hit his hand hard on the wall. “Adam.” He called bitterly.
“Adam? You think it’s him?” Angeline asked and stood up.
“Who else could have done this! His sudden silence since I got married to Jocelyn is suspicious.” Eddie said and Angeline covered her mouth.
“That’s true but we don’t have any evidence.” Paula chipped in.
“First thing in the morning, I will get a search warrant from the police so they can search his house!” Angeline said eagerly.
Eddie shook his head. “If he has my wife, he wouldn’t be stupid enough to keep her in his house.”
“You are right.” Dianne mumbled, her heart throbbing hard in her chest.
The maid walked in slowly and went down on her knees. “I’m sorry I was not able to see those that took ma’am away. I was away in the…”
“It’s not your fault. We don’t need an apology now. All we need is to strategize a plan to look for Jocelyn.” Eddie cut in.
“Firstly, we are gonna tell the police then monitor Adam’s movement.” Eddie added.
He stared out of the window, his arms hurting from tightening his wrists for so long.
Adam. Adam. Adam!! The man’s name continued ringing in his head.
