The crying voice of Dami could loudly be heard, as she held Rory’s hand. He was being taken inside the hospital with a stretcher and Dami’s clothes were filled with Rory’s blood.
“We will take it from here?” The doctor said to her.
Dami sat on the bare floor crying while Rory who is unconscious was rushed inside the operating room.
Tears continued dropping from Dami’s eyes as she folded her hands around her thighs.
She keeps blaming herself for what happened to Rory, cuz Rory has always risked his life to save hers.
She recalled how Rory fell down from the school stairs when he was still a child. He was preventing the ball from hitting her and ended up falling down the stairs. He spent weeks in the hospital, cuz he suffered from a broken leg.
“Rory” She sniffles in tears.
It was now that it occurred to her that she hasn’t really done anything for him, except fighting with him.
“You have to fight for your life, I won’t be able to take it if you die” She cries.
She doesn’t know why her heart was in pain when she saw Rory unconscious, but one thing she wanted right now, is to see Rory’s charming eyes with his lips smiling at her.
“Dami!!!” Posy called her name, rushing to where she was, and Dami looked at her, weakly.
Dami was tired from crying, but it didn’t prevent her from crying. The doctor have been in the operating room for an hour, without making an attempt to come out.
Posy squat in front of Dami, holding her shoulder.
“What happened to Rory? How did he end up here?” Posy asked, the tears in her eyes were visible.
Dami looked at Posy with glassy eyes “It’s all my fault” She cries.
“What do you mean by it’s all your fault? What happened?”
“Rory and I were talking and suddenly a car rushed towards me. The driver was aiming to kill me, but Rory took the fall and ended up here. It’s all my fault”
Posy slowly let go of Dami’s shoulder and she stood up. She didn’t needed a seer to tell her it was Verity’s doing. She knew it was the handwork of her sister.
Rory is fighting for his life right now, thanks to Verity.

Verity was having a chitchat and playing cards with her friends who were just like her, when Posy barged in.
“Why did you do it?!!!!” She yells at Verity and all eyes were on her.
Verity dropped her cigarette and said to her friends. “Excuse me for a moment, I need to talk to this little sister of mine”
Posy watched as Verity’s friends leaves.
“What were you saying again?”
“How can you be so cruel? I didn’t ask you to knock down Dami with a car. Thanks to you, Rory is fighting for his life!!!”
“It would have been Dami who would have been in the hospital bed if Rory didn’t intervene. He was trying to be a superman when he is not”
“It still doesn’t change what you did! How can you be so cruel to kill someone?!” Posy yells at her crying and Verity slaps her.
“I was just doing it for you, little @$$hOle!”
“I didn’t ask you to do anything that would endanger anyone’s life. I only asked you to scare Dami, because she is trying to take Rory from me. Even if Rory chooses her over me for a thousand times, I won’t wish for Dami to die!”
“Really? You know what I am capable of doing and yet you told me Dami hurt you. Stop trying to play innocent here, cuz you also wanted this. If you didn’t want Dami to be out from Rory’s life, you won’t have told me that she made you cry. You wanted her dead” Verity said and Posy screamed covering her ears.
“Stop! I don’t want to hear any of these. Dami is my best friend and I wouldn’t wish or want her dead. I just wanted you to scare her, so that she’d stay away from Rory. Our way of thinking is different, Verity, cuz I’m not a murderer like you, and I am going to tell the police that you are the hit-and-run driver” Posy tried leaving, but Verity took her hand and pinned her to the table.
She yelps in pains.
“You’re going to report me? You want me to go to jail? I have seen you practicing your vocals, I’m sure you want to become an idol. Do you think you’ll ever have fans when people finds out you came out from a family where your older sister is a murderer, huh!!!!”
Posy managed to free herself from Verity. “I don’t care! You hurt the one person I love so much and I won’t let it slide! I didn’t ask you to hurt anyone, you’re just too tasty for blood” Posy said and leaves.
“Come back here! Posy!!!” She screamed and went after her, but she couldn’t find Posy.

Posy’s mom blocked her way out when she tried leaving the house. She already told her mom what Verity did.
“Get out of my way, I need to go to the station”
“Don’t report your sister, Posy. She is going to jail for attempted murder”
“I don’t care! Rory is fighting for his life in the operating room thanks to Verity. He doesn’t deserve it, and I don’t care if I go to jail too for partaking in her crime” She tries leaving, but her mom hugged her.
“Don’t do it Posy. I didn’t want Verity to go to jail, that’s why I have always sided her with her. Verity turned out this way because I always condole her crimes and I accept it, but I only did it because I am a mother”
Posy pushes her away.
“Mother? I don’t think you’re a good mother, cuz you didn’t correct Verity when she committed lots of crimes, you always sided with her. Shouldn’t a mother who love their children scold her kids and teach them what’s right? If you can’t do it, then I am going to do it, cuz I can’t stand Verity” She leaves the house, while her mom continues crying.
Posy didn’t stop running until she got to the police station. She was covered in sweat and her hair was scattered and sticky from her sweat.
“Kid, what are you doing here?” A policeman asked.
“I… I came to make a report” She answered.
“Report? About what?” The policeman asked again.
“Well I… ” Posy stopped talking when the happy memories of Verity and her came flashing in her head. Verity wasn’t born a thug, she became one because she didn’t see anyone who’d scold her from her wrongdoings.
Both were closed when they were still kids and at that time, Verity was the best sister, cuz she always takes care of Posy like a big sister should.
Will she be able to send her sister to jail? That question keeps ringing in her head.
“What report do you want to make?”
Posy looks at the policeman and shakes her head. “I have nothing to report, sir. Sorry for bothering you” She leaves the station and went to a corner to cry.

•PARIS•
Lonnie keeps caressing Lanai’s hand and looking at her closed eyes, hoping she’d wake up soon. The doctor told him she was going to be fine, and he hasn’t left her side for even a seconds.
“I’m sorry, Lani” He muttered caressing her hair, and she slowly opened her eyes.
“Lani! Are…are you okay? Should I get the doctor? How many fingers do you see?” Lonnie asked, raising three of his fingers. Worries were written over his face.
“I’m fine, and I see three fingers. Help me sit up on the bed” She said in a weak tone, and Lonnie quickly did as he was told.
“How long have I been here?” She asked.
“For two days. You have been unconscious for two days. Your grandma called and I didn’t know what to tell her. She was worried because we promised her we will be back today. I’m so sorry, Lani” He said with a guilty face.
“Why are you apologizing to me? Did you do something wrong?”
“Yes… a lot. If I didn’t have s*x with you, this won’t have happened. It’s all my fault” He tried slapping himself but Lani held his hand.
“Don’t punish yourself cuz you didn’t do anything wrong. I am not the first girl to lose her virginity and I won’t be the last either. If my body system wasn’t so weak, I won’t have fainted. Besides I enjoyed it, I didn’t know my boyfriend was good at it” She teased.
Lonnie smiled and hugged her. “Thanks for waking up and thank you for giving it to me. It was the best gift”
“I’m glad it was you” She hugged him back.
Lonnie remembered Dami called him two days ago about Rory’s condition and he broke the hug. He couldn’t go back to Korea cuz Lani was unconscious.
“Something terrible happened to Rory”
“What happened to Rory?” She asked with widened eyes.

•A WEEK LATER, HOSPITAL•
“You all didn’t have to shower me with lots of gifts” Rory said with a smile, looking at the gifts his friends got for him.
He just woke up after being unconscious for a week, but he still needs to be in the hospital cuz he hasn’t fully recovered. The hospital bills was paid by Lonnie.
“It’s our way of saying thank you for not leaving us and go to the afterlife” Lani said.
“This is the first time you and Dami brought gifts for me, should I continue getting hit by a car, so that I’d get lots of gifts from you both?” He asked with a smile, and Dami hits his forehead.
“Ouch! That hurts!”
“You’re lucky you’re still lying on the hospital bed, I would have kicked you”
“This is what I get after saving you” He muffled with a cute frown and Dami smiled.
Posy is also with them, but she is quite, cuz guilt is eating her up.
“Have the police been able to identify the car?” Lani asked.
“Not yet. There was no cctv to capture the plate number, so it’s difficult” Dami answered.
“I hope the driver gets caught soon, he or she deserves to rot in jail” Lani said.
“I also want to know why the driver wanted me dead” Dami added.
Rory noticed how Posy have been quiet and asked. “Are you okay, Posy? You have been quiet”
“That’s right. You haven’t been yourself lately, are you sick?” Dami asked trying to touch her forehead, but she snuggled backwards.
“I’m fine. I will be going now” She leaves.
“What’s with the attitude?” Dami muttered, and thinking it’s because of his rejection, Rory felt bad about it.
Lonnie got a text message from Sean saying they should meet in school, and she sighed.

•STEWART HIGH SCHOOL•
Lani arrives in school and sees Sean waiting for her. The school was on a three days break, so classes aren’t going on.
“Sean”
Sean smiled and went to her. “Lani” He called her name with a smile.
“Why do you ask us to meet?”
“I love you” He said bluntly.
Lani only looked at him but didn’t utter a word.
“Should we start dating now that you know how I feel? You don’t have a boyfriend, right? Let’s start dating” He said, smiling.
Lani took in a deep breath and out. “I have a boyfriend”
“Huh? But you once told me, you don’t have a boyfriend”
“That was before, but now I do”
“Is it Lonnie?”
“Yes. I only see you as a friend Sean, and I’m sorry if I got your hopes high”
“It’s fine. I already know you and Lonnie are dating, I just wanted to let my feelings known to you”
“Will you still be friends with me?” Lani asked.
“No guy would want to be friends with a girl who turn him down”
“Sean”
“I’m doing this for my sake and for you as well. Everyone is different, some can still be friends after being rejected, but others can’t. I feel like I’d want to claim you if we continue being friends, but it doesn’t mean we are enemies. We can always say Hi to each other when necessary”
“I’m sorry, Sean”
Sean smiled. “It’s fine. We don’t always get what we want. See you around” He leaves.
Lani continue looking at Sean till he was out of sight, she got a call and she smiled when she saw it was Lonnie, calling.

•NIGHT, HOSPITAL•
Dami entered the hospital room that Rory is in and she found him sleeping.
“He is sleeping, already?” She muffled.
Dami looked at the air-con and discovered it was too high. Lonnie made sure he got Rory a vip room in the hospital. Since he cares about Lani a lot, he did it to make her happy and moreover, Rory was his friend, despite the age difference.
Dami lowered the air-con with the remote control and went to cover Rory with the duvet, she was still on it, when she stopped and began looking at the sleeping Rory.
Dami raised her hand and it landed on Rory’s hair, and she began patting him like a baby.
“Thanks for saving my life multiple times, Rory. I would have been the one in this bed if not for you. It’s really shocking that I came to realize I care about you only after you almost died. Seeing you unconscious in a pool of blood ached my heart so much, and I came to realize how much your existence means to me. I don’t know what to call it, but I think it’s a love unseen. I also came to realize that I only have a crush on Camren because he has the face of the kind of boy I want. It’s crazy, right? Even if I don’t tell you this, it hurts seeing you in this hospital bed, so get well quickly okay” She smiled.
She covered him properly and kissed his forehead before leaving the hospital room.
Rory slowly opened his eyes after she left and smiled.
He heard everything.

“You are not being serious, are you?”
“Yes I am. I’m going to tell everyone the truth, so that this will end and you won’t have to take me as your bank account where you can withdraw money from anytime you feel like” Miles said.
The man scoffed and said. “You’re going to ruin your career. You have the money, so keep giving it to me and I will take your secret to my grave”
“I don’t want to this anymore. Even if it cost me my career, it doesn’t matter, I won’t be guilty again”
“Everyone is going to h@të on you!”
“It doesn’t matter, everyone needs to know that I won’t have been the main rapper of my group if I didn’t bully Lonnie’s best friend and made him commit suicide. It was all my fault why Lonnie’s best friend died cuz I secretly bullied him all because I wanted to debut as the main rapper of THE UNBEATABLE. I’m going to tell everyone the truth and apologize” Miles said.

Camren came down from his car holding a flower he wants to give to Sage when a man approached him.
“Long time no see, Camren” He said and Camren froze on seeing him.
“What are you doing here?” He asked.
“Why? Where you still expecting me to still be in prison after you abandoned me in jail?”
Camren gulped down hard.
“You’re really the devil himself. You are acting innocent and the kindness person on earth when you are the one who paid me to hit Lonnie with my truck. You’re the mastermind behind Lonnie’s accident and why he had to lose his voice. You plotted Lonnie’s accident, devil!”
