EVENING★GENERAL DINING HALL**
“Why am I wishing that I’m one of them?” Eleanor whispers to Adelaide as they arranged the meals on the table
“Your wish” Adelaide muttered
“Is everything ready?” Court lady entered
“Yes court lady” The maids present chorused
“Good,Adelaide,Nadia,Esmeralda and Eleanor wait,others can go” The court lady said and the maids immediately went out
Queen Sofia and Lisa were the first to come in
“Good evening queen mother” the maids all bowed at once
“Good evening princess” They greeted again
Queen Sofia and Lisa sat down
“Have you called the king,Adelaide?” Queen Sofia asked
“Yes my queen,the king will be here soon” Adelaide replied and Lisa smiled at her
Matilda came in next
“Good evening mistress” The maids greeted as she settled beside the queen
“Good evening mother” She smiled and Queen Sofia smiled at her
“How are you Matilda”
“I’m fine mother”
Jimmy and Carl came in at the same time also,they sat down together after greeting Queen Sofia and then finally,King Lucian came in with Liam
“Good evening your majesty” The maids chorused at the same time.
King Lucian sat down and the court lady started dishing out the meals
Finally they started eating.
“I’m hungry” Eleanor whispers to Adelaide
“Come on” Adelaide chuckled
“My king,how was your meeting with the council?” Queen mother asked
“It went quite well” Lucian replied
“I didn’t know the prince is still in the palace,did you decide to stay away from me?” Queen Sofia faced Liam and he chuckled
“I’m sorry queen mother,I just don’t want to disturb you” Liam said
“Well I love it when you disturb,,don’t act like a grown up with me,I still remember you as a kid dear prince” Queen Sofia said and they all laughed
“I remember too….”
“Don’t even go there princess,I should be telling you how you were,not the other way round” Liam interrupted Lisa and she chuckled
“She’s still the same,full of dramas and trouble. I hope you really stopped sneaking out and not pretending” King Lucian said
“Hey,you shouldn’t blame her for sneaking. She took after you” Liam scoffed and Lisa laughed
“Finally someone supported me,I knew it. So brother used to sneak out of the palace?” Lisa asked the queen and she chuckled
“Liam was a bad influence” Lucian said
“You’re the bad influence not me” Liam scoffed
“So you mean my king always force you to sneak out?” Matilda asked
“Of course not,I’ve always been a good boy” Lucian said
“Of course I trust you my king” Matilda smiled
“Seriously?” Liam chuckled
“Aren’t they cute?” Eleanor grinned
Adelaide didn’t reply,her eyes are on king Lucian as he kept on smiling every second
After what seems like an hour,the dining was over and the maids were left to clean

MATILDA’S SUITE**
“You look extra happy today my lady” Esmeralda said
Matilda smiled and checked herself in the mirror
“That’s right,maybe because I can’t wait to have the King’s heir in here” she said and touched her tummy
Esmeralda gasped
“Did you use the drug already?” She asked
“Yes I did,and I was with the king last night,so what do you think?” She grinned
“I’m so happy for you my lady,I can’t wait for the result” Esmeralda said dreamily
If Matilda get pregnant for the king then her life will definitely change,
Matilda smiled again
“I need a thorough long wash tonight,don’t let any other maid in,just you alone” She said
“Yes my lady” Esmeralda bowed.
The rain suddenly started falling heavily
“I think the heavens are in support of it my lady” Esmeralda said and Matilda chuckled
“I guess so” She said and exhaled

KING’S CHAMBER**
“What type of rain is this?” King Lucian muttered and dropped the book in his hand
He’s been waiting for Adelaide to show up and now it’s raining
“Will she come here this night? Why is she taking so long? Should I send for her?” He sighed
Just then,the door opened and Adelaide ran in looking soaked from the rain
“I’m so sorry your majesty,I’m late” Adelaide bowed
“Were you working?” King Lucian asked
“Yes my king”
“I thought I told you to take a break,you don’t look too well,I was even worried you might not come here” Lucian said and Adelaide looked at him
“Thank you for worrying about me” She smiled
“You need to get changed your majesty,you were out all day so you must be tired” Adelaide said,shaking from the cold
King Lucian stood up
“Adelaide,you’re shivering” He said
“You don’t have to worry about me my king,I’m fine” Adelaide muttered
“Come with me” Lucian said and left the lounge
They entered the king’s bedroom,,a loud thunder suddenly striked and Adelaide held the tip of Lucian’s robe,he turned to her and she immediately let go of him before wrapping her arms around herself while shivering
“You should have just stayed back If you are not resistant to cold Adelaide” Lucian said
Adelaide took her bottom lip in and looked at him
Lucian walked to her and grabbed her waist,pulling her closer. Her hair loose in the process and the long hair fell backward
Their faces just an inch from each other,while their eyes pierces into each other’s own
“Should I make you warm?” King Lucian asked and Adelaide’s eyes widened
