HUNTER’S VILLAGE
Everything happened so fast and a few days have gone back, no one has seen or heard from Cyprus after the game with Chad, Hunter, on the other hand, has been keeping his distance from Kalinda and she too didn’t want to get too close
King Tyrone and his army are just a few miles away, Minerva walked towards the border in search of Robin
“An army approaches,” a guard shouted, attracting the attention of others
Minerva heard that and went closer
“What banner?” she asked walking toward the soldiers
“Red banner Mistress,” the guard replied, he handed Binoculars to her and she took it fixing them on her eyes instantly
“King Tyrone, what did we do to attract so visit with all those soldiers?” she thought, walking away
“Mistress, should we report?” a guard shouted, running after her
“Close the gate,” she replied and walked away

CAPTAIN DEREK*
Camilla was with her father when the door opened and Minerva came in, shortly Xavier entered and bowled slightly
“Minerva, what can I do you for?” Captain Derek asked staring at her
“Xavier get lost….”
“Let him stay,” Captain Derek cut in
Minerva looked at her son before looking at Derek
“Derek…..”
“Wh@tëver you want to say in front of me and my daughter, say it in front of your son. Let him hear it,” Captain Derek interrupted again and she sighed
“King Tyrone and his army are approaching,” she said gently
“King Tyrone?” Camilla asked, her eyes widened in shock
“He never visit any city without war,” Xavier added, he was also surprised
“He is coming with more than enough army, I just came to let you know,” Minerva said, she turned to leave but Captain Derek stopped her
“Minerva, your husband was a good leader before he dead…..”
“Are you trying to mock me? Or make me grieve over the dead?” she cut in angrily
Xavier held his sword
“If this is about Matilda and her family then they are not going anywhere, this is our home, and we….”
She walked out before he could finish what he was saying, Camilla and Xavier, exchanged glances
Minerva arrested Kalinda after Xavier brought her as she requested, she threatened to throw them out but Camilla told her father, knowing that he’s the only one Minerva listens to cos Derek and her husband were very good friends before he died, he came for Kalinda’s rescue and Minerva have
to let her go even without him saying a thing

“Open the gate,” Captain Derek ordered, he stood not far from the gate with Xavier three feet behind with six other soldiers
Ten men in horses rode into the village, they came down and the person who looks like their leaders step forward, others walked behind him
“Derek my dear friend……”
“Shut up and get straight to the point, I don’t make friends with pigs,” Captain Derek cut in rudely
The man smirked
“You don’t wanna cross me today trust me,” he said
“Oh yeah, but why is the day any different?” Captain Derek replied with a straight face
“Cos today me and my uh.. how would you put it?” he asked smirking
“Band of thugs,” Xavier shouted from behind
He glared dangerously at Xavier before nodding gently
“Me and my esteemed companions as honorary ambassadors of King Tyrone strictly covenant business,” he said, one of his guards handed a paper to him, and he passed the paper to Captain Derek
He gently opened it, taking a glance
“And what business is so despicable that requires twisted skills?” Captain Derek asked and his face darkened
“King Tyrone, the great leader of 12 kingdoms, commander general of over 10 thousand armies, and the god of all humans has ordered that you present his daughter Princess Cassidy together with the Child of Prophecy. They call him Hunter, and as you’re doing that don’t forget to hand over Habita, the last priestess’s daughter, for with that your community and everything in it will have peace, but failure to do so, all your villagers, woman, and children. Living and nonliving things will face his wraith,” he said
“Well it seems to me that we are even footing,” Captain Derek said, looking around
King Tyrone’s soldier stepped forward, only a little space was left between them
“I will make this easy on you, hand me over two bodies and the princess Alive then……”
He haven’t finished talking when a guard from his squad touched his back, he slowly shifted back turning over to the person, after whispering a word into his ear he smirked and face Captain Derek
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” he added, he climbed his horse and his guards followed him instantly
Captain Derek opened his palm and the Binocular was handed to him, putting them in his eyes he quickly removed them and turned to Xavier
“How many soldiers are on board?” he asked
“100 Sir,” Xavier replied

VIOLA*
“Hey,” Viola waved at Kalinda as she saw her walking into the bar with Camilla
She just glared at her and looked away, they walked over to an empty seat
“I will call Jeff to get the drinks,” Camilla said, walking away but Kalinda quickly pulled her back
“It’s Jefferson, not Jeff, and we agreed on eating not drinking,” Kalinda replied and Camilla smiled cutely walking away
Viola left her chair and joined Kalinda
“For how long are you gonna detest me?” she asked calmly
“I never said I did,” Kalinda replied rudely
“Can we act more like friends…”
“We aren’t enemies,” Kalinda cut in sharply
“I mean just like you and Camilla, the way you both act and all that. Can we be close like that,” Viola asked
“She’s my best friend, so no,” Kalinda replied, standing on her feet
Viola quickly pulled her hand
“I’m sorry for making you do that which you didn’t want to do, am just tired of being left alone, I just like you at first sight. I was sent to spy and kill you but then I fell in love with you and everything changed, I know you’re straight but trust me it has not been easy for me, I love you for much but I will stop cos I don’t want to do anything that will hurt you, am truly sorry. We only shared a kiss and I was dying just to have a taste of you…”
“You touched me just so you could fix my baby necklace, you know I didn’t want it but you used my baby against me,” Kalinda snapped
“I’m sorry, I tried to control my feelings but I just couldn’t help it, have a good evening,” Viola replied, she gently let go of Kalinda’s hand walking way
Kalinda just stood there staring at her back, shortly after she left Viola returned with a meal but Kalinda shook her head negatively
“I lost my appetite,” she said, walking away
Camilla dropped the food on the table running after her
“Hey, wait… did something happen?” she asked

TWO HOURS LATER
“Mother,” Chad called running towards Kalinda, she bent a little and spread her arms
He ran into her arms hugging her tightly
“I can stay here for the rest of today right?” he asked and she roughly his hair
“as long as you want,” Kalinda replied and he giggled
Kalinda looked forward to see Hunter staring at her but immediately their eyes met, he looked away, and she watches as he left with Jefferson then she swallowed nothing
“Did he not do it? How come I haven’t felt anything since then?” she thought silently
Chad looked at her face
“I can’t read your mind, same with evil eyes, why is that?” he asked and she just shrugged
“I dunno,” she replied
Chad pulled away from the hug and smiled cutely
“Come with my sweetie,” Matilda said coming towards them
“wow, you bought me many things? I can’t wait to see it,” he shouted and followed her instantly
“Isn’t he cute?” a voice said from behind and Kalinda turned around to see Ren staring at Chad
“And who are you?” she asked
Ren cleared her throat before she starts
“Sorry, I emm am Ren, Jefferson’s sister, I noticed that you’re friends with my brother so….”
“Not interested,” Kalinda cut in walking away Camilla followed
She just finds it hard to trust people, Ren stood there staring at her as they walked out
Camilla looked at her
“Don’t you think Chad deserves to know who his father is?” Camilla asked and Kalinda sharply looked at her
“Don’t ruin my evening,” she replied and Camilla stopped walking
“have seen how you and Hunter act around each other, are you two having a fight?” she asked
Kalinda was silent
“Well, he said something about you still in love with Cyprus and Viola also, she has been quiet and won’t stop staring at you. The thing is, sometimes you use to look scary that one won’t even know where to start from….. are you truly still in love with Cyprus?” she added and Kalinda looked at her instantly
She went back to Camilla
“I have learned it’s more useful to be feared than light, and as for what did you call his name again?” she asked
“Cyprus,”
“Good, I don’t have an answer to that question and for my baby, I don’t also have an answer to his own question, and for Hunter and Viola. Well am heart dead, I can’t feel emotions accept for my baby….”
“I don’t need to have special powers but the woman in me can tell that you’re not telling the truth,” Camilla cut in
Kalinda turned around walking away but Camilla quickly held her hand, she stopped as they lock eyes
“It’s a small world we live in Kalinda! we don’t get too many chances,” Camilla said and walked way
Kalinda gulped nothing, she staring at Camilla till she was out of sight
