★CHAPTER 46~47★

Just when the knife was about to go directly
into his stomach, his phone started ringing
again, the knife miraculously fell from his
hands, landing on the floor at his feet.
He opened his teary closed eyes, and took his
eyes to the phone screen, Lorenzo’s name was
displaying on the screen and he started staring
at the call till it cut by itself.
The phone started ringing again but he
continued staring at it just like the first time, he
didn’t pick up.
The call ended, and again, his phone started
ringing but this time it was Alessia… Just like
that, Riccardo, Emiliana and Bianca’s call came
in but he didn’t pick any of the calls.
He closed his eyes back and started another
new round of fresh tears, resting his head on the
wall.
“I don’t deserve anything good, how can I
forgive myself?” He said regretfully.
Tears bubbling slowly down his cheeks.
RICCARDO’S MANSION*
The car stopped at the mansion and they came
out together with a sad look on their faces.
They have just left Leonardo’s mansion after
trying to get his location but to no avail.
They were all sad for what happened and
mostly worried about Leonardo’s welfare.
“Are you sleeping over?” He asked.
“You should have taken me home if you were
going to ask me this” She rolled eyes at him,
and he laughed.
He held her hand and she smiled at him before
they went in.
Alessia’s mouth fell when she got into the
mansion. He stopped too, seeing the reaction
from her. He was expecting this anyway.
Her eyes danced in admiration as she stared at
the lovely decorations in the living room.
She turned her now wistful eyes to him, and he
smiled affectionately at her.
“Rick” She called emotionally, and he smiled
handsomely.
She left his side and started walking around the
decorations, her eyes reflecting with washing
emotions.
She turned back to him and he was already
behind her.
“Is this the surprise you were talking about?”
She asked.
“Yes, I thought we were going to spend a special
moment together but we can’t do that now, you
already know why” He said, and she nodded,
staring at his face.
He took her hands into his hands, and they
faced each other as they held eyes.
“I don’t have to make it romantic but it’s already
romantic, what matters is how I feel for you,
Leonardo is missing right now and we don’t
even know how he’s right now but I want to tell
you this, I love you so much” He said with
wistful eyes, and she blushed.
“You don’t have to confess to me in a romantic
scene, everything about you is romantic, you are
a romanticist, you don’t need to show it, I love
you too, let’s do a lot of things together after
everything is settled between my brother and
Bianca, I love you so much Rick” She said, and
he pulled her into a hug.
“I love you” He said, hugging her into his chest.
“I love you so much” She said, smiling on his
chest.
They hugged and stayed that way as their
hearts started talking to each other.
LEONARDO’S MANSION*
Emiliana successfully put Bianca in bed after
taking an hour. She covered her up with the
duvet, and smiled before getting up.
“I’m sorry you have to pass through all those
things in the hands of someone you love
extraordinary, I hope things will get back to
place”
“Leonardo, where are you? We are ready to
forgive you, she has forgiven you, please don’t
do anything stupid to yourself” She whispered
under her breath.
She looked at Bianca one more time before
leaving the room.
She met Adriana outside at the door.
“Emily” She called.
“She’s sleeping now” Emiliana said, and she
sighed in relief.
“Better” Adriana said, and they walked
downstairs.
“How’s she?” Lorenzo asked immediately.
“She’s sleeping now, Emiliana, thank you for
your care, I will be leaving now, I will come back
tomorrow” Adriana said, taking her bag.
“It’s ok, have a good night’s rest” Emiliana said,
hugging her lightly.
“Bye Lorenzo” She smiled and he smiled back.
“Safe drive” He muttered as she went out.
“Love” She called, and he looked at her.
“I know you are sad and worried” She said and
he sighed.
“Do you forgive him?”
“Who am I not to forgive him when the person
he wronged already forgave him, we are not
perfect, it’s a good thing he changed” She
replied, and he went into her arms, she hugged
him.
“Let’s hope for the better” She said, patting him
on the back.
He broke the hug after a minute, and his eyes
went to her lips, he started staring at it whilst
moving his throat hungrily.
“What do you want?” She asked knowingly.
“I want to kiss you” He replied, and she smiled.
“Do you need permission to kiss your girlfriend?”
She asked prettily.
He reeled in and pressed his lips gently on her.
She closed her eyes and started kissing him.
Jeff came in and when he saw them kissing he
tried leaving but they broke the kiss and he
stopped.
“I’m sorry” He bowed.
“It’s fine, Jeff” Emiliana called.
“Any info about him?” Lorenzo asked.
“No, we checked all the hotels in Sicily but he’s
not there” Jeff replied.
“Thank you, you can leave” Lorenzo said.
Jeff bowed and went out.
“Leo, where are you?” He muttered sadly.
NEXT MORNING*
Emiliana walked into the room but she found
the room empty. Bianca wasn’t in bed and there
were no traces of her in the living room.
Getting scared that she might hurt herself,
Emiliana quickly went into the bathroom but
she saw no one there.
“Where could she go?” She wondered and her
mind went to Leonardo’s room.
“Let me check there” She said and went out.
She stopped at Leonardo’s room, she opened
the door gently and went in to find Bianca on
his bed.
She was holding his picture as she stared
affectionately at it.
She’s trying to hold herself from crying.
“Bianca” Emiliana called and she looked up.
“Emiliana” She smiled sadly.
“Seeing you smile sadly is better than squeezing
your face” Emiliana said, and walked to her.
She took the picture frame from her and placed
it back on the table beside his bed.
“I prepared something for you, you didn’t eat
yesterday” She said but Bianca shook her head.
“I don’t want to eat, I want to see Leo, I need to
know how he’s doing” She said and almost
broke into tears.
“Don’t start crying again, please, I know he’s
somewhere right now, it’s hard for him to take it
all that he did that to you”
“I have already forgiven him, is it what matters
the most?” She asked in a crack voice.
“Please just eat something” Emiliana begged.
“I don’t want to eat anything, I want to eat
together with him” She shook her stubbornly,
and Emiliana exhaled softly.
ONE WEEK LATER,
PASSION JEWELRY LINE*
Lorenzo came out of the meeting hall and when
he entered the office, he took off his suit and
Anita took it from him.
This is exactly one week now that Leonardo has
left the mansion and till now no one is aware of
his whereabouts.
Riccardo and Lorenzo sent people to look for
him but they all came back with negative
results. They have been trying to get his
location since he left the mansion.
Lorenzo hasn’t been resting since, he took over
the affairs of the company since Leonardo isn’t
around, and it hasn’t been easy on him.
The president ranted when he got to hear what
happened, he was so angry.
“Sir” Anita called, and he faced her.
“Here” She gave him an energy drink.
“Thanks Anita” He said and took it from her.
“You need to rest, you have been working with
no rest” She smiled at him before leaving.
He opened the energy drink and started drinking
from it.
He went to sit down, and his mind went to
Leonardo again.
All hasn’t been alright since he disappeared, and
it has been taking a toll on all of them.
ADALBERTO CASTLE*
A car stopped in the castle and a guard opened
the door, immediately Chairman Marco angrily
came out of the car, he stormed into the castle
and he met the president and his wife in the
living room.
President Tommaso stood up with his wife.
“Marco” President Tommaso called.
“You are aware of what your son did to my
daughter in Germany right?” Chairman Marco
said, and president Tommaso swallowed hard.
“He bullied her till he almost broke her neck, the
scar is there till now” He shouted.
“We are sorry” Aria said.
“Sorry can’t erased what your beast of a son did
to my daughter, I can’t believe I negotiated with
a family that breeded the same person that
made my daughter’s life hell in highschool, I
was so poor so I couldn’t do anything to the
bullies but I had no idea your son was the King
of them” He yelled, his anger reflecting in his
dark eyes.
“Can you just calm down, we weren’t aware of
this too, can we talk about this?” President
Tommaso said calmly.
“I’m terminating the contract with you, and my
daughter is filing for a divorce, the marriage
between them will be over, there is nothing to
talk about”
“Do you know how rich we will become if we
succeed in building that antidote company?”
President Tommaso asked.
“I don’t care, my workers have stopped working
already, you can go ahead with the project, I’m
out, I don’t want to have anything to do with
your family” Chairman replied.
“Fine, I can’t stop it, do what you want” president
Tommaso said.
Chairman Marco huffed and walked out.
“Let’s pray this didn’t get to the public” Aria said,
and president Tommaso looked at her.
“He won’t dare try it, he canceled everything, we
weren’t aware that Leonardo was like that, we
didn’t supported his lifestyle then, we had no
idea, it’s fine, I don’t blame, I think I would have
done what he did if I was in his shoes, the
marriage happened anyways because of the
contract” President Tommaso said and went in.
LEONARDO’S LOCATION*
Leonardo came out of his room looking so
skinny and weary, he lost great weight and he is
a version of himself, he got pale eyes and dried
lips. He hasn’t been eating, he hasn’t tasted
food for one week now, all he does is drink
alcohol, he hasn’t taken his bath, he stinks
badly. His hair became so messy and scattered.
He was dragging his feet on the floor as he
walked, he got to the living room and he fell on
the couch. He hasn’t touched his phone. How
can he face his family when he can’t even
forgive himself?
He hasn’t stepped foot out of the mansion, he
has been indoors for a week now.
Leonardo rested on the couch as his pathetic
self looked so pitiful, he was looking haggard
and dried.
“Bianca” He muttered silently.
LEONARDO’S MANSION*
Bianca looked sick as she lay in bed, she has
stopped going to the company and it almost
affected the company but Chairman Marco
instructed Benita to take over for a while and
she has been doing a great job handling the
company affairs.
She hasn’t been eating well too, she was
beginning to lose so much weight. Adriana and
Emiliana did everything to cheer her up but they
couldn’t. She always ate no more than three
spoons of wh@tëver food Emiliana cooked.
A day goes by without her calling him but he
never picks her call.
Emiliana heard the doorbell rang, and she
rushed downstairs. She opened the door and
Chairman came in with his wife.
“Sir” She greeted respectfully but without
answering her, they started walking to Bianca’s
room.
They got to her room and when the door
opened, she looked up and her eyes met with
her parents.
“Bianca”
“Mum” Bianca muttered gently.
“Are you okay?” She asked, and she shook her
head.
“No” Bianca replied, and the chairman frowned.
“You are filing for a divorce, you never wanted
this marriage in the first place, I should have
listened to you” Chairman Marco said, and
Bianca’s eyes widened.
“I can’t divorce him, I never h@tëd him for once, I
love him, I want to continue being his wife”
Bianca said and their eyes widened.
“What? You know better than anyone, you love
that beast?”
“I love him so much, I can’t…. divorce him, I want
to start afresh with him”
“You are divorcing him and that’s final”
Chairman yelled.
“I can’t father, I can’t”
“I will never approve your marriage with him
knowing what he did to you”
“It was in the past, I have already forgiven him,
can you two do the same?”
“Never” They said at the same time.
“I can’t divorce Leonardo, I love him so much, I
will wait till he comes back to me” She said and
started crying.
“If you insist on remaining in this marriage then
I’m stepping you down as the CEO of Sunrise
holdings LLC” Chairman Marco said seriously.
He knew how much she cherished being the
CEO of Sunrise. She won’t trade it with anything.
“Think about it daughter, The company or him”
“I don’t mind being stepped down as the CEO,
I’m not divorcing Leonardo” She said firmly, and
their eyes came wide.
