Jeremy went to see the doctor cos he’s brother vomited blood and has chest pain
“Your brother needs surgery, whoever told you that he will live for one year lied, the truth of the matter is that he has less than a month before it enters the last stage,” the doctor said and his jaw dropped
“But, they said he still has a year left,” he managed to say
“Whoever told you that lied, your brother has a tumor and you have been giving him the wrong treatment which worsting the situation, what your brother needs now is surgery,” the doctor replied and he ruffles his head trying not to break down
“How much?” He asked, he can’t even pay for food
“A million dollars,” the doctor replied and he was quiet for a while
“A million dollar, I have only 5,000 dollars,” he managed to say and the doctor looked at him
“Am sorry to say that you’re not even one step close, you need to provide the money cos he didn’t have enough time left,” the doctor replied and he nodded
He was trying hard not to cry
“And I forget to add that after tomorrow, he will be discharged if the payment hasn’t been made, ” the doctor added
He stood up to go but his leg was too heavy to even take a step, getting to his brother’s ward he stood by the door and refuse to go in
His brother notice his presence and turn in his direction only to see tears in his eyes, knowing that Jeremy hardly cry he suddenly started crying
“Am I gonna die?” He asked and Jeremy only ruffles his head and nodded
“When,” He asked and Jeremy cleans the tears in his eyes
” soon,” he replied and his brother pulled off all the wire attached to his body
“Hey, what are you doing? Stay back,” Jeremy said and pushed him back
“Am going to find work, I don’t wanna die,” Eden cried trying to get down from the bed but Jeremy hold him back
“We don’t have money, It’s all my fault, I didn’t work hard,” Jeremy said with tears also
“I don’t wanna die, not now, if I die I will never see you again, I will never see Sasha again,” Eden added sobbing
“You will go to heaven and you will see mum and dad, okay, there is nothing I can do, I don’t have money, am poor,” He said and hugged his brother to calm him down
“No, I don’t wanna die, Oh, God please help me, I don’t wanna die, Jem, I don’t wanna die,” Eden sobbed on his brother’s shoulder

Jeremy went back to work after leaving the hospital cos he’s brother was already sleeping, he went to Adel’s office thinking of how to ask for money
“Ma, can I get paid for the whole year today?” He asked and she looked at him
“Gosh, he’s so cute,” she thought silently
“But why?” She asked staring at him
“It’s an emergency,” he replied but she wasn’t listening
She was busy staring at his face and the shape of his lips that she didn’t hear what he said
“Cute cobra,” she thought silently
“See who is drooling” her subconscious mind mocked
“Am not,” she said out loud and he thought she was referring to him and he tap her hand

“It’s Adel please,” She corrected and he nodded
“I was asking if you can pay me for the whole year in advance,” he said but she wasn’t even listening again
She didn’t want to stare but she can’t help It, he was cute and handsome
“Ma… I mean Adel,” he called but she blinked
“What were you saying?” she asked and he frowns
“I was stupid to even think of coming here, am leaving,” he said and turn to leave that’s when she get back to her Sense
“No, wait,” she said but he was long gone
“Since when did I start noticing a cute snake? This is crazy,” she said laughing at herself
“He’s so cute, and those lips,” she added smiling
“Who is cute?” Margaret asked coming in and she rolled her eyes
“Stop being nosy Maggi!” She said

Jeremy was leaning on someone’s car outside thinking of his life when Amber Approached him, she get info that he is the new cleaner in charge of Adel’s office so it will be easy to get Adel through him
“Did you want a part-time job? Or are working already?” Amber asked immediately
“Yes, I have a job, why do you ask?” he said and she went closer
“I have a job offer for you, that’s if you’re ready,” she said and he nodded
“Am ready for any job,” he replied and she smirked
Adel on the other hand was coming out of the company in search of Jeremy when she saw him talking with Amber, her enemy
She just turned around and went back inside
