Adel was still with Margaret when she received the security alarm on her phone and so did Margaret, they stare at each other
“Treasure room, dad is in trouble,” Adel said and grabbed her car keys
Only Adel and Mr. Benson can open it, even the mother can’t open it
Margaret stood up and made to follow but a call came to her, Margaret checked and it was an unknown number so she pick up instantly
“Hey, who is this?” Margaret asked
Adel stopped at the door and turn to listen
“Turn on the TV,” the person said and ended the call
Margaret looked at Adel and then at Bruce who was still with them
“Who was that?” Adel asked and Margaret shrugged
“I dunno, but the voice sounded like Ashley’s own and she said that I should turn on the TV,” Margaret replied confused
Bruce who was close to the TV took the remote control and turn on the TV, there they saw Ashley with the press, in her hand was the red box with the secret life of Adel written boldly on it
“Is that you?” Bruce turn to Adel who was already shaking
“No… No… No this can’t be happening, no not again,” Adel staggered back
Ashley was on international television which means that everyone seeing her right now
“What did you mean no? What’s happening and why are your pictures on that box?” Bruce asked confused
He has no idea of what was happening, Adel was shaking bad, the box was three and she was only able to recover two but the remaining one went missing and it hasn’t been found
“So you mean what you have here is what we have been looking for? The secret life of Adel?” They heard the press voice
“It’s not just her secret but the kinda person she is, her true self, and what she does behind the beautiful life she confused everyone with,” Ashley’s voice came through
“Adel!” Bruce called staring at her
Adel ignore him and with shaky hands and a sweaty face she brings out her phone and called her head guard
He picked up at once
“Get the boys ready, we are going downtown,” she said and he nodded as if she can see him
“Roger that ma’am,” he replied and ended the call
Shortly after she ended the call and turn to Margaret another call Came into her phone from an unknown number she picked up immediately
“Adel, how would you like it if your mother and sister act live porn,” Ruth’s voice came through the speaker
“I will kill you myself,” Adel yelled angrily
Ruth laughed so hard and switch it to video, she walked into a room and turn the phone to Catherine and Dora
“Mom,” Adel called and covered her mouth with her palm
“No please don’t hurt my mom, I will give you everything you want please just don’t hurt her,” Adel pleaded already in tears
“Aww I wish I had a mom too, but let’s not worry about that cos they are dying soon,” Ruth said grinning
“What do you want?” Adel asked tears fighting their way out of her eyes
Seeing her mother tied up to a bed, her sister was already unconscious, she didn’t know how Ruth get to them but she knows that it must be the work of an insiders

“Good girl, now tell me the code, what’s the code?” Ruth asked with a smirk
“My fingerprint, face recognition, eyes recognition and voice, and a drop of my blood,” Adel replied and Ruth furrow her brow
Ruth quickly change her expression
“You have ten minutes to get to A.B.C and open the treasure room or say goodbye to your mother and sister cos they will be rapped till death,” Ruth said and ended the call
Adel turns to see Margaret beside her
“It’s all my fault, I was too harsh on mom, I should have let her hug me, mom am sorry… I was just stupid and crazy and….”
Margaret place a finger on her mouth and kept quiet
“This is not the time to cry, many lives are in your hand, I already called Jeremy and he’s coming with Jordan, and that his friend… They will follow you to A.B.C,” Margaret cut in
“No, am going for mom, you go to A.B.C instead and I will go get mom with the guards,” Adel said
“I will handle Ashley, I have always wanted her to tell me something I need to hear and she will do just that now,” Bruce said and they nodded
Two guards came into the place and Adel follow them out, Margaret made to go out but Bruce hold her hands
“Be careful, don’t get hurt,” He said and hugged her
She disengaged from the hug and looked at him
“Let’s break up, I’m not ready for a relationship I think I still have to work on myself, am sorry Bruce… Try and forgot about me cos I will do the same, I can’t keep pushing you away all the time maybe I was destined to be this way after all, I don’t love you anymore,” Margaret said and walked out without looking at him
Bruce just stood there staring at her back as she walked away and tears rolled down his eyes, what just happened? Margaret said she don’t love me anymore. Why did I fall for her of all people? Why did she keep doing this to me? Why can’t I get over her?
Many thoughts ran through his head but he couldn’t process them, why did it have to be her?
“Hey dude,” Roco called immediately he get into the house
Roco was taken aback when he saw the tears in his eyes
“What happened bro? I was sent to go with you,” Roco said staring at him with a raised brow
Bruce smiles lightly and wipes off the tears
“Let’s go hunting,” Bruce replied as they left the place
