? Chapter Forty?
Two days gone and Cassandra had not woken up, even though she and her baby was no longer in danger she was still unconscious, the doctor explained to Alex that she may have experience a trauma before and so she may not be emotional stabilized again because of all the things she had passed through recently and that this accident may have made it worse, but there is 5% possibility that she could be normal and they should be very grateful she did not lose the child or it would have worsen her condition and all she needs right now is attention and care.
Alex was scared already, he knew he had made a grave mistake and also ruined the chance of getting his love back. He had gone to meet his mom for advice, his mom told him to stay with her for now since that is what she needs now.
Alex was sitting on a chair next to her bed, he held her left hand as he sobs gently, asking for forgiveness from her until he heard a sneeze, his teary eyes looked duo immediately to see her half opened eyes.
“Cassandra “He called happily, he pressed a button near him, the doctor came in immediately he heard the sound. He checked her heartbeat and temperature.
“She is good now, just a little bit weak, she needs to eat and take enough water plus enough rest ” the doctor said
“How is my baby “She asked with a hoarse voice
“You baby is perfectly fine “The doctor assured and she heaved a sigh, feeling at ease with what she heard, she gave Alex a glance and removed her eyes immediately.
Ronnie came to the hospital with her husband immediately she was informed about Cassandra.
“Oh! Poor Cassie, I am so happy you are awake “Ronnie said as she hugged Cassandra lightly. She dropped the things she bought for her.
“Am so happy you are here aunt Ronnie, Uncle “Cassandra said
“I hope you are now getting better ” Mr Willow said
“Yes just a little bit weak “She said with a polite smile
“Here take this, a very sweet light meal, specially prepared by me “Aunt Ronnie said with delight, Cassandra ate a spoon and she smiled.
“Very delicious aunt Ronnie, thanks “Cassandra said and aunt Ronnie smiled.
“That is very good, take some more before you have your next nap “Aunt Ronnie said as Alex watched from outside, Cassandra had been giving him cold shoulders, she was not talking to him but at least he was grateful she smiled, now he has to start things from the beginning without any mistakes.

Kyle entered Cassandra ward well with a lot of difficulty, Alex did not want him to go in but Ronnie forced Alex to let him in.
“Good afternoon Cassie “He said with a bright smile
“Hey Kyle, how do you know I was here “She asked looking surprised
“I am Kyle remember, so I would know “He answered with a smile still on his face.
“Heard you did not like flowers so I got you this “He said giving her a card
“That’s good, prefer this to flowers, thanks “He said
“No need to thank me, what are friends for “He said and she smiled, seeing her smile because of another man made him furious, he was not liking this but he had to put up with it because of his stupid mistakes, since she does not want to see him then he had to teach that Hazel girl a lesson, with that he left the hospital.
“So how are feeling now “Kyle asked
“Just a little bit tired and stressed out, but I will be cool before tomorrow “She said
“Don’t push yourself too hard, and take enough rest ok “he said and she nodded.
“I will” she replied
After chatting for a long time Kyle left stating that he would come by tomorrow to check on her.
Her parents had already arrived this morning, but were held up by some irregular things, they came to check on their baby girl.
“Mom “Cassandra called and her mom gave a faint smile, seeing her daughter in this condition hurts her.
“My baby “She called with teary eyes
“Mom, I am good and stop crying “she said as she cleaned her mom’s tears, feeling happy that her daughter was ok and she was super happy that her daughter was now going to be another soon.
“I hope you are eating very well and taking enough rest” her dad nagged
“Dad, is that the first thing you are meant to say ” she said with a frown, noticing the change in his daughter, he smiled, he was happy because she had changed for the better, all thanks to Alex. He was happy he made the right choice.
“Why are you smiling like that, it’s creepy “She said and he laughed
“It’s because I am happy Cassandra, when you are feeling better you could take over the company ” he said and she frowned a little bit.
“How is Hazel “She asked.
“I haven’t seen her since the party, so I was wondering why?” Her dad said with a sad expression
“Is anything the matter “He asked
“Not everything is fine “She said , he knew she was hiding something from him, but he decided to let it be, when the right time came she would speak up and right he does not want to spoil the happy mood.
“Where is Alex ” her dad asked
“He had some important things to attend to in Texas, so he went there this morning” aunt Ronnie said as she walked in with some fruits in her hands.
“Ok, that’s true he has a lot of things to attend to “Her dad said understanding the reason Alex left while Cassandra was wondering why he left.
What important things did he have to do there?

“I want to divorce Alex as soon as possible” Cassandra said to Miguel
“But why? You are pregnant already, you don’t need to do so “Miguel said
“I know you had a deal with him, and you won so what is stopping you now,get him to divorce me or I will do it my way and you guys won’t like it “She stated while Miguel was surprised
“How did you know? “He asked
“Forget about that, I need your help Miguel and you have to help me, first I need to find Hazel, I need to make her pay for what she did “Cassandra said as she gritted her teeth in anger
“So why do you still need to divorce Alex” He asked, she hissed in annoyance
“Don’t tell me you don’t know what he did to me “She said and he frowned
“Alright I would help you “He said and she smiled
“Thanks” she said
“Don’t thank me yet, I would not work out that divorce yet until I am done figuring out what I need to figure out, and after everything has been fixed then you can now divorce him” Miguel said but she disagreed
“No, I don’t want to “she said
“Just hear me out, I beg you “He pleaded
“Alright, just because you said so “She said
“Just know that you owe me ” She said, he nodded and left her ward.
Feeling satisfied because he was able to give his brother enough time.
