Is been 3 months since Richards graduation, then one Sunday evening, Richard planned on taking Rose to see her parents so when Richard arrived, Rose and Gift were almost ready and they both looked very beautiful
Richard was happy as he drove them to his parents house. When Richard drove into his father’s compound, he quickly got down and opened the door for Rose and she came down while Gift also alighted from the car.
The compound was so beautifully decorated with flowers and well trimmed green grasses. Looking further at the left, they could sight a swimming pool and besides it was a bush bar for refreshments….. Rose gasped in shock
Wow! Richard this is the best house I have ever seen in my life…. Or am I in the television acting nollywood movies? This is one of those houses I used to see in movies
Gift cuts in…. Wow seriously, so Richard you are so rich and you don’t so much show it…. This house is exquisitely beautiful, you are so lucky and my friend is the luckiest girl on earth… Wow! this is what I want oo!
Richard cuts in… Please ladies, let’s go inside now, my parents must be waiting.
Richard opened the door for them, beaming with smile… Ladies first, he said Gift walked in
Rose was going in then Richard gently pulled her back, I know you must be scared of meeting my parents, just relax my love, they are hospitable people and I assure you that they will love you too…. Rose smiled at him and thanked him for boosting her confidence
Richard pecked her and they both chuckles while Gift who got a glimpse of their little love flirt was a so envious of them.
Then they got into the house and Gift totally lost her mind, she just stood dazed mopping at the place she is standing… She felt like she is in heaven on earth and wished it was her that is going to enjoy all this instead of Rose.
She was brought out from her fantasies when Richard came out with his parents and started the introduction.
Dad, mum, this is my jewel and my love Rose.
Rose greeted them with a bow….. But Richard mum urged her to come and give her a peck, she did and Richards mum embraced her with a peck too
Richard introduced Gift too as Rose’s child hood friend and besties … They also welcomed her warmly.
Richard parents told them to make themselves comfortable and free, soon they engaged in conversations.
They talked about education, marriage, families, children and life in general, it was quite interesting as the girls found out that Richards parents are easy going people, that helped them to relax more.
Food was served as they all enjoyed their meal. Richards dad teased him
My son, I and your mum can’t wait to carry our grandchildren from both of you
Richard smiled., You guys should not worry, before this year runs out, I and my jewel will come with a good wine and invitation card to invite you to our wedding.
They all clapped and cheers for them…. Then Gift suggest that they should make a toast for that and they all agreed.
They raised their glasses and all made toast, but Gift smiled mockingly at Rose knowing that her dreams would be shattered soon enough before it will even begin.
After some time of refreshments, Richards mom took the girls out for a stroll around the compound to show them around
She told Rose that if she will behave so well and marries his son, that she will never regret coming into their family.
Rose smiled at her and promised to be a good good girl and also a good daughter in-law.
Gift eyed her in envy.
Richard was with his father while the women were out. They discussed different issues about work and about Rose and his father told him that the lady seems to be a good girl so he is not objecting their relationship.
Richard was beyond joy.
By 7pm they left and Richard drove them to their Lodge. He handed the money his father gave to them to support in their feeding
To Rose he gave 50k while Gift he gave 30k, the two girls were very happy and thanked him.
Before Richard left to his house….. Him and Rose engaged in a very long and romantic kiss that Gift herself began to salivate, through out that night she kept fantasizing about Richard in her heart and continues thinking of her evil scheme to separate the two lovers.
Gift met some one outside the school and told him what she wanted, they made the arrangements, negotiated on the prize then fixed the date for the event to take place
On the D-day, as planned she told Rose that she will would be going to her friends house and not sure if she is going to return that day, Rose agreed and wished her well
Meanwhile before Gift left that noon, she made sure that it was when Rose was about to eat, then she drugged the two pure water that is remaining in the house using string, knowing fully well that there will be no trace of her been involved
Then she smiled wickedly and left after collecting her own portion of the coconut rice in her food flask
Rose also dished out her food and started eating after which she drank water and before she could know what is happening she has passed out.
Gift who has been hanging around sneaked in and saw her friend lying lifeless, she smiled and called the guy.
