Adrian’s hand stung from the impact, and he looked down at Alex, stunned.
“What are you doing?” he asked, his voice full of confusion.
“You can’t hit her!” Alex said, her voice shaking with anger.
“Huh”
“Hey,jerk, did you just slap my sister?”A voice asked from the doorway, and they all turned to see Rudy standing there looking angry.
“Ru..Rud… Rudy is..is here”Adrian said in fear.
“This is bad,”Alex muttered looking at Rudy as he started to walk toward them.
“Did you just slap my sister?”Rudy asked again when he got close enough to Adrian.
“No!” Adrian quickly lies in fear, putting his hands up in surrender.
“Really,I saw everything,”Rudy said.
“I swear it was an accident, I didn’t mean to hit her”Adrian said and Rudy wasn’t buying that.
“I don’t care if it was an accident,”He said, his voice deadly serious and Adrian swallowed hard.
“You have no right to slap my sister”Rudy grabbed his collar angrily and punched him.
Adrian let out a cry of pain, and crumpled to the ground, clutching his face and the whole class gasped in shock.
Rudy walked up to Adrian,he pulled him up and punched him.
“Why did you slap my sister?”Rudy asked, folding his fist to punch him again.
“I..di.didn’t mean to slap your sister I…I was just trying to discipline her,”Adrian said, his voice faltering as he pointed at Mina.
Rudy looks from Mina to Alex then back at Adrian.
“That’s not discipline,”Rudy said.
“That’s abuse”
“I’m sorry,”Adrian said, his voice shaky.
“I didn’t mean to hurt her”
“You hurt my sister, and that’s unacceptable”Rudy was about to punch Adrian again when Alex called him.
“Brother”Alex called.
“Please stop,”Alex said.
“That enough”She added and Rudy took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
He was furious, but he didn’t want to do anything he might regret.
He let go of Adrian.
“Just stay away from my sister,” Rudy said, his voice low and dangerous.
“I’m sorry,” Adrian said again, his voice trembling.
“You’re not listening to me,”He said.
“I said stay away from her,If you come near her again, I’ll make sure you regret it”Rudy said and Adrian swallowed hard, his eyes wide with fear.
“I understand,”He said, his voice small.
“And I don’t want you hurting her too,”Rudy pointed at Mina and she blushed.
“I don’t know what relationship you have with her but I don’t wanna see my sister getting hurt because of her friends”Rudy said and Adrian nodded.
He knew that he had to be careful here.
Mina was obviously very important to Rudy, and he didn’t want to upset him further.
“I promise I’ll never hurt Mina or your sister again”He said, trying to sound sincere.
“I care about Mina because she is my sister, and I would never want to see her get hurt”
Rudy regarded him with a skeptical look.
“Say the guy who was about to hit his sister some minutes ago,”Rudy said.
“I mean it,” Adrian said, meeting his gaze.
“I promise you that I will never hurt Mina”
Rudy was silent for a moment, considering his words.
“You should say that to your sister, not me,”Rudy said.
“Mina,I promise you that I will never hurt you,”Adrian said.
“Ohh okay”Mina said looking confused.
“I’m glad we could get this sorted out,”Alex smiled, turning to Adrian.
“Are you okay?”She asked.
Adrian nodded, his face still flushed with pain.
“I’m fine,”Adrian replied with his voice a little shaky.
“I just need to take a minute”
“Of course,”Alex said, giving him a sympathetic look.
“Take all the time you need”
Rudy stood there, his fists clenched at his sides.
He was still seething with anger, because of the earlier slap, he h@tëd seeing his sister hurt. She is the only family he had left but he knew that he had to control himself.
He turned and walked out of the classroom, leaving Alex, Mina and Adrian alone.
“I need to go”
“I’m sorry for slapping you Alex and I am also sorry for acting that way Mina”Adrian said.
“I’m deeply sorry”He apologized and walked out of the class and the students went into an uproar.
The students were buzzing with gossip and speculation.
Some were sympathetic to Adrian, while others were angry at him for hurting Alex.
Mina felt torn.She knew that Adrian was just trying to protect her, but she also knew that his actions had been wrong.
She wanted to forgive him, but she wasn’t sure if she could. Alex was still standing there, turned to Mina, and said,
“Are you okay?”
Mina took a deep breath.
“I’m not sure,” she said honestly.
“I’m still processing everything that just happened,I can’t believe my brother apologized to me,”Mina said.
“I guess my brother punched must have reset his head somehow”Alex chuckled and Mina laughed.
“Yeah, that’s true,”She muttered.
“Anyway,thank you for sticking up for me,”Mina said, giving Alex a grateful look.
“I really appreciate it,”She added.
“No problem,”Alex said, giving her a smile.
“We have to stick up for each other, right?”
“Absolutely,” Mina said, returning the smile.
“Because”
“We’re friends,”Alex nodded.
“Friends forever,” she said.
“No matter what happens”

“I wonder what took him so long,”Angela asked, staring at the class doorway.
“Yeah,I have a lot of questions I wanna ask him,”Celine said.
“Me too,”Ellie said.
“Let’s just hope the picture and video on the school platform isn’t true,” Angela said, her voice tight with worry.
“I can’t imagine Rudy having a junior student as his girlfriend,”Celine said.
“I know,it’s crazy right,”Celine added.
“I don’t know,it might be true,”Ellie said, looking concerned.
“It can’t be,”Angela said, almost to the point of tears.
“Yes,”Celine nodded, wiping off the little tears in her eyes.
Just then,Rudy walked into the classroom and three girls quickly approached him.
“What’s going on here?”He asked.
“We saw the video,” Angela said, biting her lip.
“What video?”Rudy asked.
“This video,”Celine said, giving Rudy her phone to watch the video.
“Okay”Rudy muttered after he was done watching the video and he returned the phone back to Celine.
“It’s all over the school,”Ellie said.
“So?”Rudy asked.
“Ahem…he-hem is it true?”Celine asked.
“Is it true you have a girlfriend?”Ellie asked.
“Is that girl in the video your girlfriend?”Angela asked.
Rudy sighed, knowing what the answer they were looking for was.
“Yes,She is,”He said,with a little smirk on his lips.
