“You’re so beautiful”The man smiled walking toward the girl.
As soon as he was about to touch the girl.
A figure appeared in front of him blocking him from touching the girl.
“Who the h…”
He wasn’t able to complete the sentence before a punch landed on his face.
“You guys should learn how…” Cody paused when he felt someone holding his hand.
“Brother is that you?” The voice slowly asked.
“It’s me Alex, ” The girl said.
“A..”
“Cody,watch out” Sally screamed as the man was about to punch Cody.
Cody’s training kicked in,he dodged the punch with ease and pulled Alex out of the way before the man punch hit her.
The man stumbled forward, losing his balance.
Cody took advantage of the opening and struck the man in the jaw, sending him to the ground.
Sally and Alex watched in awe as Cody expertly took down the man.
“You’re amazing,” Sally, her eyes wide.
“I’ve never seen anyone fight like that”
Cody ignores her compliment and walks straight to the man on the floor.
His eyes were burning in anger as he began to punch the life out of the man.
He couldn’t believe it was his sister the man dragged into the alley.
Sally and Alex gasped as she saw Cody’s anger take over.
“Cody, stop!” Sally yelled.
“You’re going to kill him!” She screamed.
Cody heard Sally’s words, but they didn’t register.
All he could think about was the man who dragged his sister here.
He felt like he was seeing red, and he couldn’t control his actions.
“Brother, please!” Alex begged.
“You have to stop!”
Cody’s eyes slowly began to focus, and he saw the fear on Alex and Sally’s face.
He realized what he was doing and immediately stopped.
“You’re strong,” The man managed to say, rubbing his jaw.
“You fight well”
“Shut up”Cody ignored the compliment and glared at the two men holding Sally.
They quickly let go of her as they ran out of the alley and into the street.
Cody let out a breath, feeling the tension leave his body.
He turned to Alex, who was still looking a bit shaken.
“Are you okay?” He asked, his voice soft as he began to walk toward her.
Alex nodded, but her hands were trembling.
“I’m fine,” She said, but her voice was a bit shaky and Cody smiled at her.
“How about we ….”
“It’s really you,” Alex said, recognizing the smile.
“I can’t believe it,”
“It’s really you, brother,” She called, hugging Cody.
Cody was about to wrap his arms around Alex and hug her back but a guy suddenly showed up and pushed him away.
“What do you think you’re doing to my friend?”The guy punched Cody on his face.
Cody stumbled backwards in anger, dazed from the blow.
He was already pissed off because the guy interrupted his reunion with his sister.
Blood was streaming from his nose, and he could feel a bruise forming on his cheek.
He slowly wiped the blood from his nose and gave the guy a deadly glare.
The guy was scared by the look on Cody’s face.
For a moment, he hesitated in fear then he rushed forward, throwing a punch at Cody’s head.
Cody saw the punch coming, and dodge everything.
He blocked the last punch with his hand and pulled the guy closer to himself.
“Enough!” Cody said, his voice low and dangerous.
He wrapped his arm around the guy’s neck, applying just enough pressure to make him uncomfortable.
“Listen to me very carefully,if you value Alex” Cody whispered into the guy’s ear.
“If you ever fail to keep her safe or you put her in harm’s way, again, I’ll make you regret it, protect her with your life. Do you understand?”
The guy’s eyes widened in fear and shock,he quickly nodded, his face turning red as he struggled to breathe.
Cody released his hold, and the guy fell to the ground, gasping for air.
“I’m sorry,” He said.
“I’m really sorry” The guy said looking up at Cody with a mix of fear and shame.
“I won’t let her …”
“Shut up”Cody gave him a cold glare and began to walk away.
Sally, who had been watching the whole scene, rushed after Cody.
“Nathan”Alex called, rushing to help him up.
Nathan rose to his feet, still a bit shaky,He turned to Alex, his eyes pleading.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get the ice cream” He said and Alex smiled.
“It’s fine,let’s just get out of here,”Alex said.
“Okay,but Alex, do you know who that guy from earlier is?” Nathan asked.
Alex paused, still not sure who the guy is.
“Their smiles are the same,”Alex said inwardly, comparing Cody and Rudy’s smiles together.
“I think he is my brother,”Alex said.
“What” Nathan screamed.
“No way,that can’t be senior Rudy,”Nathan said.
“I mean your brother is dead right”Nathan added and Alex gave him a cold glare.
She begins to walk away leaving him alone.
“Alex”He called, going after her but suddenly stopped when he realized something.
“No.. no way” Nathan muttered.
“Their eyes are just the same when they glared” Nathan covered his mouth in shock.
Nathan stood there, frozen in shock.
He couldn’t believe what he was realizing.
Could Alex’s brother really be alive?
It seemed impossible, but the evidence was right in front of him and what he whispered into his ear.
Telling him to protect Alex with his life.
He took a deep breath going after Alex.
OUTSIDE THE ALLEY.
Cody felt a surge of relief and joy, mixed with a deep concern.
“I’m glad I was able to see you Alex,”Cody said inwardly with a smile.
“Hey thanks for saving us”Sally said as she got out of the alley and got no response from Cody.
“I’ve never seen anyone fight like that before”Sally said, a hint of admiration in her voice.
“I guess all those training paid off”
Cody took out his phone when he felt it vibrate in his pocket.
It’s a text message.
The message says “Enter the black car in front of you”
“Black car” Cody said looking around.
“Training? Do you know karate?”” Sally asked, her eyebrows raised.
“Sorry Sally,I have to go,”Cold said.
“Huh?” Sally raised her brows not understanding him until a black car stopped in front of Cody and he got in.
“Bye” He waved as the car drove off.
“WOW!”Sally exclaimed as she stared at the car.
Sally stood there, dumbfounded.
She had so many questions, but she knew she wasn’t going to get any answers from the rapidly disappearing car.
As it faded from view, a sense of sadness washed over her.
She had just met an amazing person,and now he was gone.
“I can’t believe he can fight and he is super handsome too”
“Too bad that I didn’t snap a picture with him”
She sighed, turning back to face the alley.
It looked so different now that it was empty.
No longer a place of fear, it now seemed to hold a sense of promise and possibility.
Sally decided to go back to the dorms and think about what had happened,maybe she would never see Cody again.
“It seems those two are students from Dayton High school and that girl called Cody brother” Sally muttered walking down the street.
OUTSIDE CODY & LINDA’S MANSION.
“Father,you haven’t said anything since I got inside the car and now we’re outside the mansion gate”
“Is there any problem?”Cody asked.
“Linda must have told you already,you guys are going to Dayton College and you will be staying in the dorms,” Mr George said.
“Yes” Cody replied and Mr George sighs.
“Cody,” He called.
“Yes”
“Those who are behind your mother’s death are connected to Dayton highschool and College “Mr George said and Cody nodded.
“Are you okay?”He asked.
“I’m fine,” Cody replied.
“But you don’t look surprised or shocked,”Mr George said.
“I’ve already had a feeling that they will be connected since it is the principal of Dayton highschool that….”
“It’s fine don’t say it”Mr. George cut in.
“Thank you” Cody said, relieved that he didn’t have to talk about what happened to him in the past.
“I hope you and Linda will be safe at the college dorm,”Mr. George said and Cody nodded.
“I will let you know when I have more information about your mom’s death”Mr. George smiled and Cody got down from the car.
“Thank you”He said and the car drove off.
As the car disappeared down the road, Cody let out a sigh of relief.
He was grateful for Mr. George’s help.
He turned and walked into the mansion gate.
“Welcome back Sir”The guards said as he walked past them.
He got into the mansion and saw Linda pacing around.
“Linda,”He called.
“Cody,what took you so long?” She smiled, rushing toward him.
She jumped on him and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight hug.
“I’m back,”Cod muttered.
“I’m so glad you’re back,” She said, her voice muffled against his shoulder.
“I’ve been so worried.”
Cody returned the hug, patting her back gently.
“I’m sorry I made you worry,”He said.
Linda pulled back,and looked up at him with a skeptical expression.
“What happened to your face?” Linda asked when she noticed a bruise on Cody’s cheek.
“I got punched,”Cody replied.
“What” Linda screamed and Cody nodded.
“For real you got punched?” Linda asked.
“Yes,” Cody replied.
“I can’t believe there’s someone out there who could hit you after nine months of training,” Linda said and Cody sighed.
“I guess I’m still not strong,”Cody muttered, folding his fist.
“That’s not true, anyway I help the maids to prepare dinner,let go and eat” Linda said walking toward the dinner table and Cody followed.
“I need to get strong so I won’t die twice,”Cody said inwardly and sat down.
“Thanks for the food”He said and started eating.
After he was done eating,he headed toward his room.
He entered and flicked the switch.
The room lit up and he sighed with relief.
He took off his clothes and headed toward the bathroom.
He undressed and stood under the shower.
He let the cold water run through his body and thought about what he should do next.
“I should focus on getting stronger,”Cody thought.
“Yes, if I want to survive I need to be able to fight against those who tried to kill me and those who killed my mom”He thought.
He turned off the water and dried himself.
He put on a t-shirt and sweatpants then walked back into his room.
“What should I do first?”He wondered aloud.
“I think I should train my body first,”He said while doing press ups.
Some minutes later he was already laying on the bed breathing heavily.
“I think that’s enough for tonight”He muttered and slept off.
NEXT DAY.
When he woke up, he saw Linda laying on top of him again.
“Linda” Cody called.
“Good morning, Cody”
“Can I get a kiss” Linda leaned in, her lips inches away from his.
“No”Cody tossed her over the bed.
Linda let out a squeal as she tumbled onto the other side of the bed.
She sat up, her face flushed.
“You’re such a tease!” she said, pouting.
Cody couldn’t help but laugh.
“I’m just being a gentleman,” He said, grinning.
Linda rolled her eyes.
“Sure, sure,” she said, getting out of the bed.
“I will wait for you downstairs,you should take your bath. We are going to the college today,” She said, heading out of the room.
Cody nodded, taking a quick shower himself.
He got dressed in his usual jeans and t-shirt, and headed downstairs.
He saw Linda waiting for him.
“Hey Linda,let’s get going,” Cody said, walking up to her and she nodded.
“Our things are already at the dorms”Linda smiled as she got out of the mansion.
“Okay,do you wanna race?”Cold asked about entering his car.
“Sure the last person will do wh@tëver the first person says ”Linda smirked entering her car and drove off.
Cold chuckle as he watches her car.
“She is so impatient and she will end up losing because I know some shortcuts” Cold entered his and drove off.
Cody and Linda raced each other to the college.
They weaved in and out of traffic, each trying to get ahead of the other.
Cody took a few shortcuts, but Linda kept pace with him.
By the time they arrived at the college, they were both neck and neck.
Cody pulled into a parking spot, parking his car. Linda pulled in right next to him.
“That was fun!” She said, smiling.
“But you cheated!”
“I did not cheat!” Cody protested.
“I just took a shortcut”
“Yeah, sure,” Linda said, rolling her eyes.
“Do you know the way to the principal’s office?”Cody asked.
“No”Linda said, hopping out of her car and Cody also got down.
“Okay,follow me,”Cody said.
“Have you been to the principal’s office before?” Linda asked.
“Of course I have,” Cody replied.
“I’ve been to this college a several times before”
Linda followed him, feeling a little bit nervous.
She had never been to this college before, and she didn’t know what to expect.
They walked through the front doors of the college, and Cody led him down a long hallway.
“This place is huge!” Linda said, looking around in awe.
“Yeah,it is!” Cody agreed.
“But I know it like the back of my hand,” Cody said, remembering that he used to come here whenever the college had new students.
He stopped in front of a door with a plaque that read “Principal’s Office” on it.
“Here we are!” Cody said, pushing open the door.
Linda followed him inside.
The principal’s office was a large, airy room with a big desk in the middle of it.
There were bookshelves on the walls, filled with books on all sorts of subjects. And there was a large window that looked out onto the campus.
“Cody Watson and Linda George, welcome!”The principal said, getting up from his desk.
Cody recognized the man immediately as he stood up.
He was a tall, thin man.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both,” He said, shaking their hands.
“I’m Principal ….””
“Nice to meet you, Principal Robert,” Cody cut in remembering how he shot him.
“You will be the first to die by my hands,Mr. Robert,”Cody said inwardly.
“Huh? How did you know my name” Mr Robert asked.
“I saw it on the table” Cody lied.
Principal Robert looked down at his desk, and sure enough, his nameplate was sitting there in plain view.
He laughed, a little embarrassed.
“You have a sharp eye, young man!” He said.
“Yes,I know,”Cody said.
“Mr. George has already told me everything,so you two will be enrolling here,”Mr. Robert said.
“Yes,”Linda nodded.
“Okay the college students are super busy so they won’t be able to show you around”Mr. Robert said.
“We understand,so high school students are going to show us around,”Cody replied.
“Huh? How did you know?” Mr. Robert asked.
“Just a hunch,”Cody replied and Principal Robert laughed.
“Well, I’ll arrange for two of our most dedicated students to show you around,”He said.
“They’ll be able to answer any questions you have and give you a real sense of what it’s like to be a student here”
“Thank you, that’s very kind of you,” Linda said, feeling grateful.
“It’s no problem at all,” Principal Robert said.
“I’m always happy to help students who are interested in our school.Now, let’s get started on the paperwork.”
Cody and Linda spent the next hour filling forms.
“We are done,”Linda said.
“Okay,the students should be arriving by now”
The door opened slowly and they all turned their attention to the door,Alex walked in.
“Principal,I’m sorry I was late, busy with …”Alex paused as soon as she set her eyes on Cody.
She froze, her eyes wide.
“Bro… brother” She called.
