“What do you mean by, you failed the mission?” The man asked.
“We…we hit…hit the wrong person” The driver said.
“What? You guys aren’t able to kill him yet alone to collect the phone and you are coming back here”
“We are so….” The other man paused when he saw the man bringing out a gun.
The man brought out his gun and shot the two of them.
“Dispose their bodies” The man said and the dead bodies were dragged out.
“You, you”

“You”
“And you?” The man pointed at five guys.
“Make sure you kill him and bring the phone back to me” The man said.
“Yes sir” The guys chorus and leave.
“We can’t let anyone know what happened that night” The man muttered looking at a picture then smiled.
DAYTON COLLEGE.
GIRL DORMITORY.
LINDA AND CELINE APARTMENT.
“W-well, I mean, maybe not exactly that,” Celine stammered, embarrassed.
“I just meant that, you know”
“Umm, we’ve kiss before”
“What?” Linda’s eyes widened in shock.
“You guys have kissed each other before?” Linda asked, still in shock.
“Yes , but ….”
“Cody has never kissed me before” Linda cut in feeling hurt.
“Hmm?” Celine raised her brows.
“Oh! It’s nothing” Linda faked a smile.
“So tell me how it happened?” Linda asked and Celine blushed again.
“Actually I was the one who kiss him”
“He was sleeping and his lips are so tempting so I had to kiss it to know how it tastes ” Celine said.
“Wait, what?” Linda’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“You… you kissed Cody while he was sleeping?” Linda screamed and Celine covered her ears.
“Are you okay” Celine took a deep breath while asking.
“I’m fine, I just…” Linda trailed off, not sure how to express what she was feeling.
“It’s just… a little shocking,”
“I guess I just never would have imagined Cody would allow you to do something like that to him while he is sleeping ” Linda said slowly.
“Huh? Wait a minute, I’ve been meaning to ask you this”
“Why is that whenever I mention Rudy’s name or talk about him, you always end up calling him Cody?” Celine asked and Linda’s eyes widened.
“Huh?”
Linda shook her head.
“It’s not what you think” Linda said, realization dawning on her face and Celine raised her brows.
“Is there something you are hiding from me, Linda?” Celine asked.
“Oh… Oh no,” Linda said.
“I’m so sorry, Celine”
“I don’t know what happened, I just… I think I must have mixed the names up”
“I guess it’s because I am fond of living with Cody”
Linda said but Celine gave her the I don’t believe you look.
“You have to believe me Celine,” Linda said.
Celine looked at her Linda, her expression softening.
She knew Linda was telling the truth but a part of her doesn’t want to believe it.
“I believe you,” She lied and Linda smiled.
“So when will I meet this Cody friend of yours?” Celine asked.
“Oh, well…” Linda hesitated, taken aback by the question.
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea, I mean, he’s …” Linda paused when her phone suddenly buzzed.
It was a text message from her father, and Linda felt a jolt of excitement.
She quickly unlocked her phone and read the message.
“Let meet at my mansion, Cody is already there waiting”
Linda’s heart melted as she read the message, especially the Cody part.
She couldn’t help but feel a little giddy.
“Umm, Celine my dad just texted me, he asked me to come over so…”
“Is Cody going to be there?” Celine asked cutting in.
“Yes”
“Can I come along?” Celine said.
“Huh?”
“Can I come?” Celine asked.
“Oh, I’m sorry Celine but ……”
“Pretty please”
“Please” Celine begged.
“She is hiding something,” Celine said inwardly.
“I don’t know,” Linda said, feeling conflicted.
“Cody is going to be mad if he sees her,” Linda said inwardly.
On the one hand, she wanted to be alone with Cody, to have fun with him.
On the other hand, she didn’t want to hurt Celine’s feelings.
“I’ll have to check with my dad,” She said.
“Maybe he’ll be okay with it, but I’m not sure”
“Please,” Celine begged again, her eyes wide and pleading.
“I really want to meet him, you’ve been mentioning his name so much”
“Please, please, please,” Celine said.
Linda was beginning to feel overwhelmed.
“All right, all right,” Linda said, finally giving in.
“I’ll ask my dad if it’s okay for you to come with me, but you have to promise not to be weird, okay?”
“And also don’t talk to Cody” Linda added and Celine nodded, her face breaking into a huge grin.
“I promise, I’ll be on my best behavior” Celine said.
“Okay” Linda muttered, slowly.
NIGHT, HOSPITAL.
“How is he doing, doctor?” Nathan asked, shaking heavily.
The doctor sighed, looking down at her clipboard.
“I’m afraid the news isn’t good, Mr. Nathan,” She said.
“He suffered a severe head injury, but we’re sure he’ll regain consciousness anytime soon”
“Okay, thank you so much doctor,” Nathan said.
“What about the girl, is she still inside the room with him?” Nathan asked.
“Yes, she is still there with him,” The doctor replied.
“How is she doing?”
“She is fine but still crying” The doctor replied.
“Oh okay” Nathan muttered.
“Do you want to check up on them?” The doctor asked and Nathan shook his head.
“No, I don’t think I can face them” Nathan said standing up.
“Oh!”
“Thank once again doctor” Nathan smiled and left the hospital.
As soon as he got out he felt like the world was spinning around him.
He still couldn’t believe what happened.
“I’m alive, I wasn’t hit by that car” Nathan muttered remembering everything that happened.
FLASHBACKS.
Nathan was about to cross the road, then suddenly stopped when heard the roar of the engine, and he turned around just in time to see the headlights bearing down on him.
He had no time to react but was shocked when he saw a guy also crossing the road with a lady who seemed to be his girlfriend.
“Watch out” Nathan screamed at them.
The guy’s eyes widened when he saw the headlights bearing down at them.
He quickly pushed the girl away and the car slammed into him, knocking him off his feet and sending him flying through the air.
He landed hard on the pavement, and everything went black.
The two men in the car sat in stunned silence for a moment, before the driver spoke.
“We have to get out of here, the mission failed” The other man said, panic in his voice.
“We have to go”
The driver nodded his hands shaking, and they both got out of the car and ran, leaving the guy lying on the ground.
Nathan was still in shock for some minutes until the lady yelled at him.
“Call the ambulance”
Nathan quickly brought out his phone and called the ambulance.
The ambulance quickly arrived and the guy was rushed to the hospital.
FLASHBACKS ENDED.
Nathan sighs heavily.
“The car was surely heading towards me”
“Is it because of the video?” He wonders as he remembers the other guy that was throwing knives at him.
“Did they find out about the video”
“My life is seriously in danger if they do, I need to let him know ” Nathan brought out his phone and dialed Cody’s number but he wasn’t picking up.
He tried several times but got the same response, Cody didn’t pick up.
So Nathan decided to send a text, let’s meet up at the bar where Rudy went missing, please hurry up I will be waiting.
After he sent the message, he waved his hand to stop a cab.
Nathan hurriedly got into the cab and gave the driver the address of the bar.
As the cab drove away, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of danger.
The cab suddenly pulled up and another passenger got in.
Nathan turned to look at the person who had just entered the cab, and his heart stopped.
The person was dressed in black with a black mask and he was also holding a gun.
“What’s going on?”
“Release the gas” The person dressed in black told the driver who was already wearing a mask.
“Who are you guys?”
The driver looked at the person in the rear-view mirror.
He reached for the lever that controlled the gas.
He pulled it, and the cab began to fill with a noxious gas.
Nathan began to feel light-headed and dizzy, his vision going blurry.
“Who….ar-are you guys”
He tried to stay conscious as the gas filled the cab, Nathan felt himself slipping into unconsciousness.
Just before he blacked out, he heard the person in black say something to the driver.
But he couldn’t make out the words, and everything went dark
