“Diane.” Kent muttered and a smile formed on his lips. “You’re alright. I wondered where you went to after that day. Are you okay?” He asked and painful held his rib side as he struggled to stand to his feet.
“Really? You care about me but just tried to kill your father.” Diane said and gasped in disbelief.
Kent looked at Nate and suddenly felt guilty.
“I thought he was going to put up a fight. I thought it was one of his tricks to make me lost my guard, I didn’t know that he was serious about dying. He’s good at pretending.”
“And you are good at being stupid because I don’t understand why you’ll bring these personalities to come hurt your father. Isn’t the throne yours at end of the day?” Diane yelled. Her voice was more firm than it had ever been.
Kent realized that she was right but that wasn’t the real reason for his actions. He wanted to ruin his father for neglecting him all this years. He felt that his father was responsible for how he turned out.
His father had never had dinner with him for hundreds of years, even if he was throwing fits as a child, Nate shouldn’t have given up on him like that.
“I know but I was angry. Angry at him for always treating me like I never existed. It was only in school that I could dominate because I believed that was the only way of getting noticed. Bullying made me popular and notorious and that’s all I needed. I wanted attention whether negative or positive. “Kent said and grunted a little.
“When I was growing up, he never asked my anything. Who was the first girl I went out with? What was my position in class? He never gave a fûck!” Kent yelled with tears stinging his eyes.
He didn’t want to cry or break down but he couldn’t help it.
“He never cared when I got a cold or when my powers first manifested.. He just gave up on me like I wasn’t worth it…”
“My parents weren’t the best either. My father tried to sell me, my mother allowed me to be bullied. My whole family never stood up for me but if I needed to save any of them I would do it.” Diane muttered, having a good heart.
“If your father never spoke to you, maybe he felt like you wanted that. You told him you h@tëd him at such a young age. That must have left an impart on him too. He thinks you h@të him. You closed the door first, you should have opened it.” Diane said and sighed.
“Let’s go.” Diane faced Nate and stretched her hand.
Nate quickly held her and stood up.
As those enemies tried attacking from behind, Diane used her powers on them, including Kent.
They flew backward while some turned to ashes.
“Kent, sort them out yourself, you brought them.” Diane smirked snd walked away with Nate.
“Diane, we can’t leave him.”
“Yes we can.” Diane replied and teleported with him.

They appeared at the beach he took her that night.
“Diane, you’re back!” Nate smiled and tried to hug but she used her powers to push him back.
“What did I tell you before I left? I told you not to find me but you did. Jacobs found me but he’s back at my new home, tied up. I simply spared his life because he’s just your puppet.”
“Diane please…”
Diane brought her hands close to each other, gathering her powers with full force.
“Your majesty, I didn’t save you from them. I saved you for myself. You looked for me and now, I’m gonna kill you…”
“Diane, I love you.”
“Well, I detest you!.”
