Chapter 16&17
~~~ Attitude 2 ~~~
He got to his room and shut the door closed. He leaned on it and exhale deeply but sadly before advancing to his wardrobe
He search the wardrobe and got something comfy before going back downstairs
He walked closer to Kaylan. “Don’t get used to the love you’re receiving, it’ll end in 9 months” He whispered to her and somehow she felt sat hearing him say that
“What are you whispering to her?” Brittany frown
” It’s nothing Mom, I was just about taking my leave when you came,,, I’ll take my leave now” Kaylan smile
“Mom.. can you believe she made your favorite food?” Collins chipped in
“Really? Then why are you leaving?” Brittany exclaimed and dragged her to the dining table before she could protest
They got to the table and Kaylan made to serve them but Brittany stopped her
“I’ll do it” Brittany smiled at her. “I can’t have my daughter in-law undergoing stress” she added and Kaylan choked on her saliva
“Here, here!” Brittany quickly offered her water which she gulp down at once
She turned to Dean and their gaze met briefly before he looked away
“Why would you allow your girlfriend do all this when you can just hire a maid” Brittany turned to Dean but he didn’t say anything, he was just looking at the plate Infront of him as if it were some movie
“Collins, why’s he quiet?” Brittany face Collins
” I dunno” he shrug and Brittany sigh before turning to Kaylan
“Kaylan, come seat close to me” she said
“Thanks mom” She smiled and looked at Dean who wasn’t even sparing her a glance
He h@tës me that much?” She wondered and sat close to Brittany
Anyone could see Dean took her beauty from Brittany.
“Are you an only child?” Brittany asked
” No, I have a younger sister”
“How about your mom and dad?” She asked again
” My mom is fine,,,, I lost my dad when I was seventeen” Kaylan replied sadly and Dean stared at her momently
“How old are you?” Brittany asked
“I’m 22” Kaylan replied
“You guys must love each other alot” Brittany chuckled
” What?”
” Huh?
Kaylan and Dean exclaimed at a time
“What? Why are you both surprised?” Kaylan creased a brow, her eyes flicking from Dean to Kaylan
“It’s nothing ” Kaylan laughed awkwardly and Brittany nodded before scooping a spoonful of the meal into her mouth
“Hmm” she Mõ@n
“Will you stop making such sounds?” Dean rolled his eyes
” And how’s that any of your concern?” She asked back before facing Kaylan
” It’s delicious” She smiled and continued eating from the food
Dean kept picking on his food through out
Kaylan stared at him briefly before looking away.
“Why aren’t you eating?” Brittany asked looking up at him
” I’m full” He said
“But you didn’t even touch your meal”
“I’m alright mom” he said and left the table
Brittany turned to Collins with a puzzled look
“I have no idea mom,,, he’s been behaving that way recently” Collins shrug
~~~minutes later~~~
“I will be on my way now. My sister must be waiting for me” Kaylan did a little bow
“Okay dear,,,,Dean, why don’t you see her off” Brittany said and Dean glance at Kaylan
“It’s fine mom, I will just go on my own” Kaylan said politely
“Wait, Are you two playing me? Did you hire her to be your girlfriend?” Brittany asked and their (Collins, Dean and Kaylan) hearts skipped beats
“Mom.. what are you talking about? Of course not” Collins laughed awkwardly
“It’s just,,,,How can she be his girlfriend and he’s being cold to her? Brittany asked
“Alright, I will go see her off” Dean said between gritted teeth..
He grabbed her hands tightly and she wince lowly
His grip on her hands were firm such that he was hurting her involuntarily
“You’re hurting me” She whispered to him but he didn’t listen
“Take care kaylan” Collins said and she nodded painfully
“We will get going now” Dean said and they both walk out of the house
He released her hands and turned to her
