Celia tossed and turned on her bed trying to analyze what really happened. Lord Dom barging into her room, and trying to…
“Gosh, Celia you should’ve pushed him away! You shouldn’t have closed your eyes!” she shouted when her phone suddenly beeped.
Aria is the only one who normally contract her on the phone so she became alert immediately and returned to business mood.
She picked the phone and her joy knew no bounds to see it was a message from Emma.
“Oh… Emma… you’ve always been a life saver,” she exclaimed, and reed the message.
Emma lamented on how worried she was after the agency CEO went to her house to inform her that Celia was now working in Lord Dom’s mansion. All her attempts to report it to the police was abortive until she received Celia’s message.
Celia didn’t know the best response to give because the phone is obviously being monitored.
💬*I’m doing fine here… you don’t need to involve the police or worry about me. Read between the lines,* she texted back.
*Read between the lines* is a phrase that she and Emma use when they were in high school to indicate that they’re being sarcastic about a statement.
She put her phone away hoping that Emma actually read between the line and get her out of there. She might be doing just fine, but she felt like a prisoner with no freedom.
She stepped out later and started looking around for Aria. Aria might permit her to rest for the day but she still felt obligated to do her job right.
LAfter checking few places and didn’t find her, she went to one of her bodyguards to ask after her and was told about a Mr. Consigliere or whatsoever.
“Wow. I thought Lord Dom was the Boss,” she exclaimed, and the bodyguard chuckled.
“Yes, he is. The Consigliere is not above him,”
“I understand, it’s like his secret godfather that he delivers to as it is in mafia movies. I’m not actually big a fan, but while snooping around I picked few bases,” she said, and he scoffed.
“Then you must’ve picked the wrong ones. In lame man language, Consigliere are—“
“The anonymous Boss!” she cut in.
“The advisors,”
“Oh… are they like the second in command?”
“No. That’s where the Underboss comes in, then the Consigliere,”
“Oh… who is the Underboss? Is it Jake?” she asked, and the bodyguard almost choked on laughers.
“What Jake? He was simply a mere assistant before he was assigned here. How can he be the Underboss?”
“Oh… I thought he got something off his sleeve, he’s always acting superior,”
“He’s that way because he is close to the Boss,”
“Oh… so, who’s the Underboss?”
“There’s no Underboss in the South now, it’s too much details but there is one I know you can be interested in. Jake is a licensed lawyer, he handle all legal issues,” he said, and her eyes widened in shock.
“He js WHAT?!” she shouted.
“Who’s what?” she heard Aria said from behind and she froze in fear the moment she saw Jake.
“Hun?” she mumbled.
“What are you discussing with Rick?” Aria asked, and she shook her head.
Rick was the most friendly among the bodyguards at Aria’s quarter so it’s just proper for her to get along with him better.
“I heard that a special person arrived,” she stuttered
“Yes, he’s my grandfather. Come with me, I’ll tell you about him,” Aria said, and held Celia’s hand.
“Stay away from her, don’t even think about it,” she heard Jake scolding Rick as they left.
He got all the audacity, as the closet friend to the Boss and also a lawyer. Who could have thought that a mafia could be a lawyer?
.
Aria told her a lot of stories about the Consigliere boring her in the process till it was time to have dinner and Celia couldn’t be more thankful.
She freshen up for her and escorted her to the main dinning hall to have dinner with her father who was in company of the Consigliere.
“Wow. He looks like an average looking man, tho… scary,” she thought, and all eyes fell on her.
“And you look like an average college student, tho… naive,” Mr. Cason said, and she gasped at the thought that she said that out loud.
“No, no, I mean no harm. I mean…” she stuttered in fear.
“Get a grip young lady, I heard a lot about you and you must’ve heard about me too,”
“Grandpa, Celia once called me little pumpkin. She doesn’t call me Little Lady like others,” Aria said, and Mr. Cason chuckled.
“Boss, have you tell her about the vacation?”
“What vacation?” Aria asked.
“Mr. Cason, it’s not concluded yet. That’s not why I invited you for dinner,” Lord Dom said.
Celia steal gazes at him wondering how he could act uptight after everything that transpired, or almost… between them.
“Grandpa, tell me about it,” Aria whined.
“Your Daddy is the Boss, and he said I shouldn’t,”
“Daddy, tell me about it!” she shouted.
“Mr. Cason,”
“I assume that’s a go ahead. Your Daddy is planning a vacation for the both of you and your nanny,”
“What nanny?” Celia shouted, and they all looked at her.
“Do you have any objections?” Mr. Cason asked.
Jake phone rang later and he picked it up and dropped it almost immediately before going to Lord Dom.
“Boss, there’s news from the West,” Jake whispered to him.
“Speak up,” Lord Dom muttered.
“Lord Greyjoy, the Underboss, and few of his Carpons dled in a fire,”
“And the arsonist?”
“An unknown person, they’re investigating that he might be from the East,”
“The East…” Lord Dom grumbled.

***IN THE WESTERN PART OF NEW YORK***
*
LORD GREYJOY’S (Bianca’s father) MANSION^^^
^
The mafia gang all around the West assembled at the mansion to mourn their Bosses and also vouching for revenge.
Few of the powerful Carpon’s sat together in the meeting hall preparing to attack the East when Bianca joined them, accompanied by Jay.
“We’re going to set the East on fire!” the men shouted, and Jay hit the desk to get their attention.
“Lady Bianca,” they all bowed slightly.
“Heading down the East to burn it down, acting rashly and setting the city on fire, that’s really unnecessary,” Bianca said.
“Lady Bianca, the East broke the code first after proposing a truce. They burned down our Boss, so we have to set them all on fire!” one of the Carpon said.
“Fire! Fire!” the others shouted.
“It’s not confirmed yet that it’s from the East!” Jay yelled, and they all looked at him.
“Who do you think you’re yelling at?!” one of the Carpon’s lashed.
“Jay is my father’s most trusted man, and I trust him to do a thorough investigation,” Bianca said.
“Aren’t you the one that caught the culprit?” one of the men said.
“Yes. I thought he was from the East, but after doing a thorough investigation, I found this,” he said, and dropped a note on the desk
📝*There shall be no peace* written on ten note.
“What’s this?” one of the men grumbled.
“That was found at the arsonist house,” Jay replied.
“So?”
“It means that the arsonist wasn’t sent from the East, but fabricated to seem so,”
“What? So who did it?”
“Someone among us who doesn’t want the truce,” he said, and they all divert thier gazes to a man among them.
“What? Me? Have you lost your minds?”the man shouted.
“You shouldn’t have kllled the arsonist, we need him to testify,” one of the men said.
“And he wili clearly dle with the truth. After digging into his identity, he is one of the men working in the nightclub,” Jay said, and they all divert their gazes to another man.
“What? Not me! Why would I be against the truce?!” the man shouted.
“And he was spotted with the some men along the alley before he sneaked in here,” Jay said, and the all divert thier gazes to another man.
“Why does it seem like you’re trying to make everyone a suspect?” one of the men said.
“Because everyone is a suspect until the culprits is caught. It is not from the East, the culprit is among us so we won’t attack the East,” Jay said.
“Who are you to pass on orders?!” one of the men yelled.
“He is now my righthand man. And I’m the Lady of the West. If you have a problem with that, you’re the traitor,” Bianca snapped.
“Such insolence! Even if he is your righthand man, he can’t speak rashly to us. And you, there can’t be a new leader now that we haven’t gotten revenge for the late Boss!” one of the men lashed, and before others could agree with him, Jay shot him and everyone gasped.
“He is the traitor. He was the one against the truce so he plotted that arsonist. We already avenge the late Boss and there shall be no truce nor war with the East, that’s my first order as the Lady of the West. Is there any objections?” Bianca said, and the others shook their heads in disbelief, “Go out there and tell your men who the traitor is. Cut him into many pieces and feed him to the dogs, burn his family alive; let them all suffer the same way the late boss did then we can proceed with the funeral. That should be all,” with that, she left.
“She’s more scary than her father,” the men grumbled.

LORD DOM’S MANSION^^^
^
Celia tossed and turned on her bed unable to sleep, no matter how she tries to think about the vacation it just doesn’t make sense judging from what almost transpired between them.
Who cares if he was her nightstand? It’s not like he stole from her when he literally saved her from George and she gave herself to him vulnerably.
She left the bed unable to sleep, and decide to take a stroll around to clear her mind when someone walked up to her.
“Hi, Celia, you’re still up,” Rick said, approaching her and she smiled.
“Hun. I couldn’t sleep,” she muttered.
“Do you want to grab a drink?” he asked
The last time she grabbed a drink with a guy he almost took advantage of her so she wanted to decline, but thinking through, he’s the only one nice to her in that mansion.
“Sure,” she muttered.
“Nanny, can I have a word?” she heard Jake’s voice from behind, and Rick exhaled heavily before excusing himself.
“What? What do we want?” she snapped.
Who cares if he is a lawyer, he could just call her by her name and not “nanny” when he clearly knows her name.
“I told you, you shouldn’t try to be friends with anyone around here,”
“You never said that!” she snapped.
“But I’m saying it now. Everyone here is dangerous,”
“That includes you!”
“Yes, including me. So don’t try to be close fo anyone and just do your job,”
“If I check correctly, we’re both doing our jobs and your job doesn’t include telling me what to do,”
“Little Lady chose you, so it’s my duty to protect you,”
“Where were you when she almost got shot and I passed out in that woods? That’s your job, not snooping around!” she lashed, and excused herself to go to Rick.
*
She followed Rick to another part in the mansion — a bar.
“Wow. Is everyone allowed to drink here?”
“Occasionally. All the drinks here are expensive, Boss got every single one of them during his trip around the world,”
“He must be a wine freak. So why are we here if no one is allowed here?”
“Because no body will tell. There is no CCTV camera, and expansive wine is a good cure for insomnia,” he said.
“Of course, no body will tell,” she chuckled.
He took one of the wine and two glasses before leading her to a storage-like room to drink.
“You’re right, expensive wines are the best. This is my first time having one,”
“Then you should thank me, right?”
“Thank you,”
“With just words?”
“What? Do you want money?”
“No. Tell me about yourself, that’s enough,” he said, and she nodded.
She started blabbing on about the story of her life since she was a kid, how she ended up with the loan sharks to the big boss and her worst nightmare. She drank as she talk until she got drunk. She isn’t a heavy drinker, so she gets drunk easily.
“The roof is too highhhhh how can anyone touch it. We should leave this place, the roof might break off at anytime,”
“It won’t break off and even if it does, I’ll protect you,”
“Why? Are you Mr. Dragon?” she gasped, covering her mouth.
“I could be Mr. Dragon for you, I can even be the Dragon King,” he said, creasing her laps and moving his lips down to hers.
“No. You aren’t Mr. Dragon,” she muttered, looking at his wrist.
“Who cares?” he said, and placed a kiss on her lips but she pushed him away.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” she lashed.
“Aish! That’s enough! I have played too gentle enough! Just cooperate if you don’t want to get hurt,” he threatened, pinning her to the seat.
“Let me go! Let me go! Help me! Somebody help me!” she shouted, trying to free herself from him.
The door suddenly burst open and he released her immediately.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she heard a masculine voice said, and she held her head that was already spinning.
“Boss…” Rick shuddered in fear.
“Deal with him,” Lord Dom muttered, and went to Celia who was struggling to get up.
She successfully stood up but fell back and hit her head on the wall.
“Arggh…” she winced.
“Are you ok?” he asked, and she looked at him.
“You. You’re the real Mr. Dragon,” she mumbled,
“You’re at that again,” he said, helped her up.
He helf her close and she smiled cutely staring directly at him.
“I knew it. You’re Mr. Dragon,” she said, and kissed him.
