Kingsley continue driving for some minutes before stopping by the bridge,they both got down from the car and Summer ran toward the bridge abutment
“Do you remember this place?” She asked as Kingsley joined her
“But it’s different tonight,there’s no fireworks” She muttered and turned to him
“Remember the first time we came here? You said you don’t believe in love” Summer said and Kingsley faced her
“That woman,is my mom” He muttered
“You told me you don’t have a mom” Summer said
“That’s because I don’t see her as my mom and I don’t want her to be my mom” Kingsley replied
“Why?”
“She killed him…..she killed my dad” Kingsley said at the point of tears
Summer gasped
“She did?? How?” She asked
“Ever since I was young,I’ve never seen her showing dad love,no matter how he tries to make her happy,no matter what he ever did for her,she never appreciates that. Do you know the kind of frustration which leads to sickness?? My mom is full of aggression,silly and crazy attitude,she doesn’t care about her husband and doesn’t care about her children either. Dad took care of us,all alone. I don’t even know what a mother’s love is even though my mom is living right beside me. All she cares about is parties,work,and her crazy friends. She doesn’t even know anything about her own children,our favorite food or what we love doing,sometimes I want her so badly but never got the attention I wanted from her. Dad did everything to make us happy,he didn’t tell us he was suffering from an illness and his crazy wife didn’t notice either since she never cared” he faced Summer completely
“Then he died,I was just ten when he died and my sister was fifteen. I thought mom was really going to change but it only got worst because she started going out with different men all in the name of business,one of those men once tried to R@PE my sister……” He wiped the tears falling from his eyes uncontrollably
“I h@të her,I h@të that woman so much that sometimes I want to kill her so badly. That’s why I told you she’s dead,I wish she’s really……..” Summer hugged him tightly, interrupting him
“It’s okay,don’t say anything again” She said
Kingsley wrapped his arms around her also
“You must have went through a lot,don’t worry,I’m here now” Summer muttered,rubbing his back gently
They broke the hug and Summer wipe his tears with her thumb
“You don’t have to lie to me,you can tell me anything. Whenever you’re sad,don’t keep it to yourself,you can share everything with me,I will comfort you and make you happy” she said
“I’m sorry” Kingsley sighed
“Why?” Summer asked
“I ruined our date” Kingsley replied
“I don’t think so,it feels so good to hear you telling me what you’ve been keeping” She said with a smile
Kingsley smiled and caress her cheek
“You keep on amazing me” He said
“Is she the reason why you don’t want to get married?” Summer asked and he dropped his hand before nodding
“You don’t have to conclude that way,all family are not like that. There are families who have happy endings…….”
“I once told you my sister is the only lady I love in the world,that was when I didn’t know I was going to fall in love with you. But right now,I don’t want you out of sight,I don’t think I will survive it if you leave me someday….”
“That’s never going to happen,I will always be with you” Summer said
“Promise?” Kingsley asked
“Promise” Summer replied
Kingsley smiled and pulled her into a hug
“I love you so much sunflower,I love you so Füçking much” he muttered
“I love you too Angel eyes” Summer replied

NEXT MORNING>SUNDAY**
“Going somewhere?” Naomi asked as she opened her eyes,she’s just waking up to see Summer getting dressed.
“I’m going out with……”
“Again?!! You left yesterday and returned late and now today?!” Naomi shouted
“I will see you later” Summer blew her a kiss before running out.
Naomi groaned and threw her legs in the air before pulling the duvet over her head again
Kingsley was already waiting when Summer got outside
He immediately hugged her
“Tell me you missed me all night because I couldn’t stop thinking about you” Kingsley said,still hugging her
“I missed you too” Summer said and he released her
“Where are we going anyway?” He asked
“Stanford Church” Summer replied and Kingsley’s eyes widened
“What?!”
Summer winked
“Let’s go” She said
“Wait,it’s my first time going to that….”
“Me too” Summer said dragging him toward the bike
“You will surely be the end of me” Kingsley chuckled and got on the bike
Summer also climbed on and he rode off toward the church
It’s a very big church called STANFORD MEMORIAL CHURCH,it’s located on the main quad at the center of Stanford University campus. Not only the students worship here,even outsiders do come over to worship
Kingsley stopped the bike few legs to the church
“We are late,let’s hurry up” Summer grabbed Kingsley’s hand and started running toward the church.
She stopped in front of the statue of the holy mary and bowed with her eyes closed while Kingsley only stood there watching her
“What are you waiting for? You have to do that before you go in” Summer said
“Oh” Kingsley muttered and did the same.
They entered the church and found a seat at the back.
MINUTES LATER**
“That was quite fun” Kingsley chuckled as they started walking out of the church
“Ever gone to a church?” Summer asked
“Never”
“I just broke another record right?” She said and Kingsley nodded
“Well,we are going somewhere else” Kingsley said
“Where?”
” a surprise” He winked and put the helmet on her before putting on his. He rode out of the school immediately.

JASPER’S HOUSE**
Josephine pressed the door bell and seconds later,the door opened revealing Jasper.
“Ma’am… ” he called looking surprised to see her there
“I really got you,you’re surprised” Josephine smiled
“Why are you here? Is there something you want me to do?” Jasper asked
“On weekends,I’m not your boss. So just take this as a visit” Josephine replied
“Oh…come in” Jasper smiled and she entered
“Wow,your house is so nice. It’s my first time coming here” Josephine said looking around
“I guess it is” Jasper muttered
Josephine turned back and faced him
“Of course it is,so amazing” She smiled
“Have a seat,I’m going to get you something to drink” Jasper said and she nodded while he walked away
Josephine sat down
“I don’t know why I’m here” She mumbled under her breath and bite her lips
Soon,Jasper returned
“Your favorite” He said showing her the wine in his hand
“Thanks” Josephine smiled,staring at him as he poured her the drink.
“Here” He handed it to her
“Thank you” She said and sipped from it
“Fresh” She exhaled with her eyes closed
Jasper smiled
‘She’s so cute’ He thought
Josephine turned to him and he looked away
“So,you stay alone?” She asked
“Yeah”
“What do you do on weekends?” Josephine asked
“Nothing,do you wanna go out? We can just…..”
“No” Josephine said
“Have you eaten? Do you want me to get you something to eat?” Jasper asked
“Hmm,that would be nice”
“I will be back” Jasper stood up and left the living room
After a while,Josephine stood up and began walking around. She got to the kitchen and saw Jasper cooking,she immediately rushed to him
“You cook?” She asked in surprise
Jasper nodded and faced her
“You should have waited….”
“I’m here because I don’t want to stay alone and now you’re telling me to sit down there alone,no” She shook her head
“Then you can sit over there and watch me” Jasper said
“I love it this way,continue” Josephine smiled
