CHAPTER ONE
♠️PRINCESS most beautiful ♠️
In a white spotless chamber, a melodious voice echoed through, syncing with the gentle breeze that swept through the palace.
A fair lady sat down in front of a golden mirror as two maidens got her dolled up. “ Your majesty, your beauty is unmatched and your voice is no less like one of an angel. You are the pride of Aprilla and indeed all of Avalon”, one of the maidens said while braiding the princess’s hair.
“ I am aware of my beauty Hermia, and my lovely voice, but what good is all this when I have no prince by my side, no knight in shining armor”, Olivia said and stood up abruptly.
“ Father keeps me caged in this palace, I’m just a decoration for this palace and I’m sick of it. I want a prince, a knight, a … man or something. I just want my own fairytale lover” Olivia muttered and fell backwards onto her plush bed.
“ My princess, your life is to be envied. Anything your heart desires is given to you without hesitation. If you desire a prince or a knight, you could get one with the snap of your royal fingers”, Hermia said as she put on Olivia’s shoes.
“ There is no single man that draws my attention in this palace. I’m bored of the men in this palace. I need to speak to my father about this before I die an unmarried virgin” Olivia lamented patting her cheeks dramatically.
She held up her gown and walked out of her room accompanied by Hermia and two other maidens.
As she walked through the courtyard, all the men couldn’t stop staring at her. Her beauty was mesmerizing and her aura was pleasant and attractive.
Olivia walked with her head up high, her eyes ahead and her smile unwavering. She looked so delicate and pampered and she truly was.
“ Her majesty’s beauty radiates like the sun. Oh the lucky man who gets to hold those delicate hands” a guard mumbled.
“ All that beauty is for the eyes only, what a waste. I think the princess might die alone” a maiden chipped in.
All these didn’t go unheard by Olivia but she decided to ignore it, after all, it is the truth.
“ Inform my father of my arrival” Olivia said to a guard as she stood outside her father’s chambers.
Soon after, the doors were opened and she walked in.
Her father lay in bed with a lady beside him.
“ Enjoying yourself as usual Father” Olivia said in a rather sassy tone as she took a seat at the side.
“ What brings my gemstone to this side of the palace”, King Richard said as he dismissed the lady beside him.
“ I want my own fairytale lover father and I want him before my next birthday in two days” Olivia said and crossed her hands underneath her breasts.
“ My gemstone. I give you all that you ask for but not this. A man is not a pony or a new jewellery that you get tired of and toss aside, it’s a person with feelings. I don’t want you to jump into an serious commitment and break your heart” King Richard said holding her hands.
“ I’m tired of this same excuse father! I’m twenty years old for goodness sake! You can have any woman of your choosing but I have to stay pretty and virgin… so unfair” Olivia lamented and walked out of the chambers.
Hermia, who was waiting outside the chambers of the king followed Olivia as she walked out of the place
“ My princess, slow down. Where are you going?“ Hermia said trying to keep up with Olivia.
“ I’m going to the library, where else… just let me be alone Hermia. Being around you makes me feel more like a caged princess” Olivia said and dismissed the others before heading up to her favorite place in the palace…The library.
MEANWHILE…
King Richard walked into the throne room to meet a room full of distraught faces.
He sat down on his throne and gestured to them to bring forth their issues.
The general came forward and bowed respectfully.
“ Your majesty, I bring distressing news.Drago the rouge demon king has figured out that princess Olivia has the stone of Marfil” he said.
King Richard sat up with a distraught look on his face.
“ How sure are you about what you say general” he asked in disbelief.
“ Your majesty, he has slayed our men on the outskirts of the border and are slowly getting into our kingdom. He is declaring war on us and we know what will happen if he gets his hands on the princess” the general said
“ So what do you suggest we do” King Richard asked.
“ Implore the service of the knights of Avalon”
♣️♣️♣️ LIBRARY ♣️♣️♣️
“ Wow, the knights of Avalon. They are absolutely remarkable. Oh! makes it hard to decide. Do I want a prince or a knight… It doesn’t even matter. I’m not getting any!
“At least I have my fairytales to keep me company” . She hugged the book to her chest and sat down on the pavement of the window staring at the beauty of the palace from on high.

IN A DISTANT LAND…
“ Ha! Ha !“ Sounds of valor filled the air as two skilled warriors tried to get the upper hand in a staff fight.
The male was about to strike the lady by the side but she flipped back. He kept charging at her with strength.
She suddenly halted and winked at him. Immediately he stopped too taken aback by her gesture.
As soon as he dropped his guard, the lady spun her staff and swung it against the back of his knee and sent him on one knee.
She placed her staff on his neck and both their serious faces were replaced with smiles.
Suddenly another male from the side walked up to the guy and smacked him on his head.
“ How can you be smiling, you oaf! Now we have to clean all the weapons by ourselves because you can’t control your canal desires!“
“ Don’t be mad at him Bruno, any man would be rendered helpless by my beauty” the lady said and she walked over to the others.
“ Aphrodite, you sly fox! You played me again!“ the guy said as he got up to his feet.
“ Oh give it a rest boys, you lost fair and square now scrub, another lady said as she tossed them a rag. The two ladies stuck hands together and walked away.
“ Krypton, remind me never to team up with you ever again!“ Bruno lamented as he got on all fours scrubbing the floors.
“ Well who else can you team up with. Vance is off doing prince stuff and Malone… well you know Malone well * sigh* you are stuck with me” Krypton said as he arranged the swords at the side.
They heard the sound of a trumpet and immediately the dashed off.
“ KNIGHTS OF AVALON !“ an elderly man chanted.
“ Bravest of the brave, strongest of the strong, Pride of Avalon!“ they replied lined up.
The knights are six in number, Aphrodite, Krystal, Bruno, Vance, Krypton and…
“ Where is Malone?“ the old man asked.
Suddenly the door creaked open and a tall dark haired man walked in.
“ You are late again! Have you no respect!“ The old man groaned.
“ Apologies, I needed time to get my spirit animal in check… you understand right Sayer” Malone said as he walked to stand in line with the others.
“ I have news from the royals of Aprilla. The demon king has awaken and is declaring war, their defenses are breaking and they require the assistance of the knights” Sayer the old man said.
“ Finally! Some action!“, Krypton muttered slamming his fist into his palm.
“ You may leave and prepare for the task, we leave for Aprilla at dawn”, Sayer said and they bowed and walked away.
“ Wait Malone, I have a special task for you”…

“ HEAR YE HEAR YE, the knights of Avalon have arrived at the palace!“
“ Knights of Avalon!“, Olivia exclaimed jumping from her seat.
She turned to Hermia with a shocked expression.
“ Do my ears deceive me” she muttered.
“ See for yourself my princess” Hermia said gesturing to the window.
Olivia rushed to the window and gazed down below.
Her eyes widened as she saw the knights in all their glory coming into the palace on horse backs.
Her eyes locked momentarily with one with black hair and immediately she was swept off her feet.
“ My knight in shining armor”
