ROWLAND’S PLACE ~ MORNING
Sharon’s phone beeped and it was 6am, she struggled to get out of bed to get Gibson prepared for school. She washed her face and was about leaving the room when a call came in. The caller ID showed Cleo, she took a deep breath before picking up the call.
“Sharon you’re playing with my patience. I’ve given you enough time, remember twenty four hours left or you’ll dance to the beating of the drum I’m gonna play” He gushed and ended the call.
“d@mn!!!” She threw her phone on the bed, she fell on her knees sobbing.
“Cleo you’re the real devil, I h@të you, I just can’t do this” She muttered ruffling her hair.

BRICKS PLACE
Harrison walked into the master bedroom and went straight to the wardrobe ignoring Doris questioning look. He removed his clothes and tied a tower round his waist before entering the bathroom.
“Did I do anything wrong?” Doris asked herself confusedly when she noticed he didn’t say a word to her.
Harrison came out of the bathroom and cleaned his wet body before applying lotion to it. He wore a bathtub and was about leaving the room when Doris hugged him from behind.
“Good morning Harrison” She greeted caressing his chest.
“Doris let go of me I need to go and get something to eat” He replied blankly and she slowly removed her hands.
“You didn’t come home last night, where were you?” She asked returning to the bed to sit.
“I had some work to handle last night that’s why I couldn’t make it home” He replied.
“Have you heard any information about your secretary?” Doris asked.
“No they’re still working on her disappearance, it’s obvious she has been kidnapped again”
“How sure are you she has been kidnapped?”
“Can’t you see for yourself, she disappeared yesterday with her lines off neither did she arrived at her place infact no one can give account of her. I don’t know what the person wants from an innocent girl like her” Harrison said.
“So you think she had been kidnapped?”
“I know so and I promise the person responsible for it would never go unpunished I’ll watch the person rot in jail” He proclaimed angrily.
“So what’s your plan?” She asked curiously.
“Doris enough of all these questions I’m famished I need to eat something” He said and left the room.
“Tina you’re in my hands and no one is coming for you” She sneered taping her legs on the floor.

The family sat in the dinning having breakfast. They chatted along as they ate. Nelson excused himself and went into the kitchen to get some ice cream.
He met Sharon backing him, she was sobbing silently while her body huffed in the process. He walked closer to her and tapped her shoulder. She jerked and turned around immediately.
Her eyes were red and teary.
“Hi” She smiled faintly cleaning off her tears.
“Are you okay you’re crying” Nelson asked affectionately.
“Yeah I’m fine” She replied quickly.
“Sharon I know we are not close to each other but I’d love to share your sad moments with you. If you don’t mind you can tell me about what’s bothering you”
“It’s okay it’s noting too serious”
“Sharon please I need to share your pain with you” He held her hands and she melted which made her broke down into tears again.
“It’s my m.om..sh..she’s sick” She stuttered.
“Really? Where’s she?” He asked.
“My step dad said she’s in the hospital, it’s been a year I haven’t seen her”
“A year? What’s her aliment?” Nelson asked.
“She has cancer and she’s dieing slowly. She’s the only person I have left in this world”
“What about your dad?” He asked with curiosity.
“My dad is late I’m left with my mom and evil step dad. He’s a drug baron, I h@të that man with every vigour in me” She said with excess pain in her voice.
“He has been the one giving you cold feet all these while, now i get” He nodded his head slightly.
“What do you mean?” Sharon asked with increased heart beat.
“I meant he has been threatening you right. Can I see him?”
She almost lost her balance when she heard him make that wish.
“What! You want to see that devil’s incarnate, it’s not right”
“But why”
“Can we just end this discussion. We’re getting late for school”
“Let’s ride together, I won’t get a no for an answer pleaseeee” He joined his palm making a puppy eyes.
“C’mon you don’t have to beg me it’s ok” She replied.
“Let me help you” He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned the trace of tears on her face as she blushed secretly.
“Thank you” She said as he held her hand and let her out of the kitchen.

MELODY HIGHSCHOOL
Nelson’s car stopped at the school gate and as usual the premises was rowdy of students. Immediately they got into the school premises the students started murmuring while some ran to greet Sharon.
They made through the crowd of students and went into the class. Gabriel, Jayden and Fiona were surprised to see her in school.
“What the hell girl you’re really strong, you resumed today” Fiona said giving her a hug.
“Everyone has missed you in school, thank God you’re back” Jayden said pecking her cheek.
“Welcome back Sharon” Gabriel waved her and she smiled.
“I’ll see during break okay?” Nelson said to her.
“We’re you up to?” Sharon asked.
“I and my friends are going for special rehearsal not in the school actually. Well you haven’t been in school lately, there’s a competition holding and my band wants to come out best so as every other band” He explained.
“Oh I see, I missed a lot in just this few weeks anyways good luck okay”
“C’mon it’s just a rehearsal noting much” He chuckled as he left with his friends.
“Now Fiona will you tell me all the latest gist or you want me to tickle you till you fall on the floor begging me” Sharon teased her smiling.
“I’ll tell you everything ma, let’s have a sit” The both girls sat down.
“So alot has been happening so I’ll detail you bit by bit but most importantly the competition. It’s called alled the”MEGA SINGING CONTEST and it’s done every three years. It helps students showcase their singing talent and there’s a special price for the winner. Just guess”
“C’mon Fiona you know I’m not good at guessing so kindly spill it”
