Mrs. Brown Went into Karan’s room to see her playing her piano and drinking something
“Baby, what are you drinking?” she asked softly, staring at the bottle she hide under her clothes

She went over and grabbed the bottle
“Vodka, are you trying to get yourself killed? Oh my Goodness, Karan!” Mrs. Brown called, her mouth wide open
“Am sorry mom,” she said with tears pricking in the Conner of her eyes
“did you think drinking can solve a problem?” She asked
“Am sorry,” she said gently with trembling lips as her hands wouldn’t stop shaking
She has that guilty look on her face and it’s obvious that she was scared, who knows! She might be grounded for a year
Though her mother is playful but also strict, she has rules that guide the house
“Come here,” Mrs. Brown said, seeing how pitiful she looks, she closer and hugged her tightly
“Promise me you’ll never drink again, drinking is not good especially vodka, oh baby, did you want to kill me before my time?” Mrs. Brown said
“Am sorry mom, I promise, and please don’t tell Dad,” she replied, with a guilty look
“I won’t but no drinking in my house,” Mrs. Brown said
“Pinky promise,” she replied
“How about you sing me a song, what did you think?” Mrs. Brown asked
“Sure, there is this song I wrote when you were still in a coma, I wanted to come over and sing it for you but since you’re here now let’s do it,” she said and went over to her piano
“It’s not an original song though but I changed so many things cos I put my soul in it,” she added
“Show me what you have got,” Mrs. Brown replied with a big smile
She cleared her throat and start

I know where this road goes, alcohol isn’t my friend but I keep drinking cos this demon roams and follows me around everywhere I go, It clouds my mind and soul, it turns my heart cold but I keep drinking cos it makes me feel like am not alone…
Am having problem but I don’t know who to reach out to, looking at this father am having nothing but doubt, don’t wanna drink but it keeps coming around me…

I take a shot every time cos mom it heals me inside, am taking care of my siblings but no one takes care of me, I wanna talk to somebody but I feel like no one relate, I need you right now cos am losing my ways…
I hope better days are coming cos am still running, I’ve got to take control! dear mom this is my text I promise to do my best just wake up and heal me from this pain cos I feel like am crashing……

“The song is too dark, don’t worry that animal will never hurt you again, okay? He’s behind bars now,” Mrs. Brown replied stroking her hair

“Hello Mrs. Brown, hey Karan,” Davi said by the door
“I will leave you two,” Mrs. Brown said with a smile
“Thanks, mom, I love you,” She said
“I love you more baby,” Mrs. Brown peck her cheek before going out
“Seem you have a good relationship with your mom,” Davi said and sat on the bed
“Yeah, she’s my role model,” She replied, grinning
“Good for you, we have a show performance and I was sent to inform you,” Davi said
“Why didn’t anybody tell me besides it’s past 7 pm,” she said rolling her eyes
“It came all of a sudden, so get ready,” Davi replied
“Sure,” she replied and went into the bathroom
Devi texted Ben immediately “ALL DONE, SHES COMING”
Not long after she came out all dressed up
“Where to?” Mrs. Brown asked
“Sorry mom, it’s an emergency,” she replied
“Alright, don’t stay there till 10 pm cos I will be waiting,” she replied
“Bye Mrs. Brown,” Devi shouted
“Gosh, I h@të that girl,” Olivia said with a frown, if only glare could kill I bet Devi will be dead by now
“You h@të everybody,” Mrs Brown said

Karen and Devil was walking down the street when she bumped into an old woman, she quickly apologize and help the woman up before walking away
“It’s her, I found her!” The woman laughed
“This is the beginning of the end,” The old lady said and follow them…..
