(A broken heart)
Diane smooched his lips and shared another soulful kiss with him.
Once their lips separated, they looked affectionately into each other’s eyes.
“You shouldn’t be thanking me for treating you well. You have a good heart that makes you more deserving of love.” Nate said, feeling a little unhappy because his intentions were never pure.
“Well, no one truly loves me. Not even my twin brother. So, it means so much to me that a complete stranger would show me the love that…” a gasp escaped her lips and her eyes filled with tears.
“You’ve shown me more love than people that I’ve known all my life and I don’t know why people say you’re cruel but you’re the kindest person I’ve met in my entire life. And if you’re a monster then you’re my monster.” She said boldly and raised her feet to kiss his lips.
“You deserve it, my butterfly and I’m sorry for everything.” Nate couldn’t hold back the apology that escaped his lips, seeing her gratitude and doting.
He held her waist, keeping her a little up to his height.
“You shouldn’t be sorry for anything.” She muttered, not understanding his reason for apologizing.
“I’m not just thankful to you and neither do I feel this way because you’re kind to me. I fell for you from the moment I saw you, but I didn’t realize it in time.” She whispered and took her hands to his hair.
“Your majesty, I love you…”

Diane never returned home, she stayed with the King as long as she desired. From his room, he would teleport her to school and attend to his own duties.
The students in the school presently feared her because she was Nate’s lover. She didn’t care about their whispers or attitudes either and she also stopped caring about family at one point.
“You believe that because you’re with the king now, that you can leave the house, without informing anyone!” Flora yelled in her face.
“I’m sure that you’re telling me this because you need someone to do the house chores or you need a slave you can yell at. I believe that father wants to sell me, so he can repay the debt that owes. Well, I’m not that Diane anymore. Go look for another pawn.” Diane said, knowing everything happening in her former home because Chase told her everything.
She was about to walk away when Flora pulled her back and tried slapping her but Diane caught her hand.
Flora tried pulling away but Diane’s grip was strong.
“The next time you try that. I won’t hesitate blasting you away with my powers. Is that understood?” Diane smirked and released her hand aggressively.
She walked away, leaving flora in total shock.
As Diane left from there, She attended her classes and did quite great in the tests she was given.
She decided to practice a little more while others left the class for a lunchbreak. Her powers had gotten much better and she could do amazing things like Nate.
“I’m getting better, very soon, I will be in a top level.” She giggled and began using her powers to control the air.
“You’re doing great.” She suddenly heard a voice and she turned back.
“Who are you?” Diane asked the woman standing a few feet away from her.
“My name is Amanda. I am the seer of his majesty.” Amanda replied and stepped closer to her.
“Seer? His majesty had never mentioned about you before but it’s nice meeting you.” Diane smiled at her.
Amanda h@tëd seeing her but she held back any h@tëful words she had to say.
“Nice meeting you too.” Amanda forced a smile on her lips. “This is the only time that I get to see you, so I’m going to tell you the truth about his majesty. He’s not as good as he portrays himself.”
“You’re his seer, aren’t you supposed to protect his image? And anyways, I don’t care what you think about him.” Diane turned her face away and continued what she was doing.
“You must be wondering why his majesty fell in love with a weak woman like you well I’m going to tell you the truth. You’re not weak but your powers are activated by love. His majesty didn’t want anyone too powerful than him…”
“So, he decided to make you fall in love with him, so once your powers were activated, He could rip your heart out and take your power…” Amanda wanted to turn everyone against Nate, including Diane.
Diane was shocked and slowly faced her. “That’s not true.”
“Diane, stop being naive. Can’t you see that your powers are manifesting because you’re in love with him. That was what he wanted from the beginning, that’s why he treated you nicely”
“Shut up, that’s not true.” Diane shook her head with tears soaking her eyes. “His majesty cares for me…”
Amanda laughed and shook her head.
“He doesn’t love anyone but himself. He is just using you and real soon, he will kill you.”
“No.” Diane cried out.
“Nate would never do that to me…he might not say it but he cares for me. He adores me, he would never do anything to hurt me.” Tears slipped out of her eyes.
Amanda raised her palm and a conversation between her and Nate appeared on her palm. Diane heard and saw everything.
She couldn’t doubt it anymore, her heart instantly shattered into a million pieces.
“You’re lying. Nate would never do that to me…” Diane broke down in louder dears.
She was having a serious mental breakdown down. She fell on her knees and her hands gripped her chest.
“No, no!!!!… Argh…”
“How could he… do that to me?”
Amanda saw this and a smile of triumph appeared on her lips.
