Micheal and Stanley were in their suite, and Micheal couldn’t stop glaring at the to-do list Paulina wrote.
“Hey! Did yoy finally turned down your list? Austin asked you to update that stuff,”
“Not that. But she ditched me again!”
“With who this time?”
“Her friends… I suppose,”
“Do you think she is trying to avoid us?” Stanley asked, and Micheal looked at him.
“What would she?”
“Who wouldn’t? She almost got hurt because of us,”
“How does it correlate? We were the ones who saved her!”
“But she was abducted because of Steve!”
“Oh… could that be it?”
“I think she is avoiding us. Even Steve is,”
“Steven went to his relatives, he said he needed a short break, he will be back before the mid semester exam,”
“You think so? What relative? He is on the run, and you believe he went to his relatives? We already lost a friend again! I couldn’t bring it up because we were all worried about Lina, but now she is back, I think we should worry about ourselves now. I mean, we… the MASS. Austin is the only person that benefited from this. At least thanks to everything that happened, his parents cut him some slack over his grades, but we… you might lose Lina, and we might all lose a friend,”
“Speaking of which… where is Austin? His parents cut him some slack, so I’m sure he isn’t studying right now. Could he be avoiding us too?”
“Austin is in a secret relationship,”
“What?” Don’t make me laugh. Secret relationship could fit anyone but Austin. How could he date anyone in secret? He loves to flaunt. And why would he even date secretly?”
“I don’t know… but do you know is new girl? He seem to be dating someone, but he is keeping it a secret from us. What could have caused that?”
“Do you think it’s one of your ex?”
“I only dated 3 girls, and they aren’t even from this school. But Austin is surely seeing someone at school,”
“Your crush?”
“Jessica?”
“So Jessica is your crush?” Micheal gasped.
“Come on, Austin knows better than to date Jessica, I mean… she would bluntly reject him,”
“But you think she will accept you?”
“I think this is about Austin,”
“Answer the question,”
“No body can tell, until it’s done,”
“So, are you going to confess?” Micheal asked, with widened eyes.
“She is giving me the green light, but she can be unpredictable. Just till after the math competition. I will see how it goes then,”
“ see you can’t give that up for love,”
“Love? That’s too cheesy. Why would you use love? I like her, and that’s it,”
“Like, love? What’s the big deal?”
“Love… the word carries too many weight, I can only use with my mother,”
“I’m envious of you,”
“That’s out of the blue. What’s there to be envious about?”
“You’ve a close relationship with your mother, but that wasn’t the case with either of mine. I mean… your parents care about you a lot,”
“Why are you suddenly like Austin?”
“Austin parents always criticize him, my parents… I don’t even want to talk about it. But you, you got it all. You’re a genius, and you also get along with your parents as well,”
“Austin, is that you?” Stanley snapped, shaking him vigorously, and Micheal laughed.
“Austin is gone,” Micheal muttered, and he by both laughed.
“Don’t be envious of others, Mike. Nobody is perfect! Now back to Austin. Do you really have no clue on who the girl could be?”
“The albino twins?”
“Nah… they are both in a relationship now,”
“Too bad…” Micheal muttered, and looked at him. “Why does it seem like you know something?”
“Me? I know nothing!” He blurted, and looked away.
“More reasons to doubt you. That denial is too blunt,”
“I have promised not to pry into others private lives, most importantly my friends. But I can’t just help it. Austin was trying to hard to keep it a secret,”
“What? Who is the girl?” Micheal asked, already curious.
“I really didn’t mean to pry,”
“Quit that man! Tell me who she is. The girl he is dating in secret. Does she worth it? Who’s she? A junior? There is no way he could date a junior student,”
“It’s Rae,”
“Who’s Rae ?” Micheal asked, and gasped later. “What? Rae? Lia’s friend, Rae?”
“I’m not certain, but it could only be her,”
“What makes you think that?”
“They met by the poolside whenever no one is around, and others lonely places. My eyes almost get sore by trying to find this in the cctv. Gosh…”
“Why would he date Rae?”
“I don’t know. He had a crush on her ones, but he gave up when she was with Roy, so I’m also confused,”
“Well… if he chose to date her in secret, good for him. Let’s wait for him to split it. But why does it seems like we are dating?”
“We?”
“I mean… Austin is dating someone in secret, Lina ditched me for her friends, and Steven abandoned us. The two of us are always together these days, doesn’t it seem like we are dating?”
“What? That’s absurd? Mike, have you finally lost it?”
“I think so. I’m losing my mind. I got ditched for the second time, while others are dating in secret. But good thing I’m not alone,”
“He is crazy,” Stanley muttered, and got up. A message beeped into his phone later, and he smiled. “I guess you are alone,”
“Who’s that?”
“Jessica. She wants to meet up,”
“For what?”
“She wants me to help her with a math problem,”
“What? Why would she ask for your help? She has professional private tutors,”
“I know, right? This is a brighter green light. I’m off,” he winked before taking the exit.
“I’m all alone this time,” Micheal thought, and threw the to-do list away.

Paulina, Sage, and Sophia hanged out after school, after spending hours at an arcade, they accompanied Sophia to shop before they went to a snacks bar to get some snacks. All through the evening, Don was watching them closely from afar.
“Am I the only one who seems like we’re being followed?” Sophia muttered, looking at Don discreetly.
“Followed? By who?” Paulina asked, looking around with mouth full of shawarma.
“That man. I also noticed that he has been on our track from school,” Sage said.
“Are you referring to uncle Don?” Paulina asked, and Sophia choke on her drink.
“Is he your uncle?” Sophia gasped.
“No, my bodyguard,”
“Bodyguard?” Sage and Sophia shouted.
“Why do you have one?” Sage asked.
“It’s a long story,” she muttered.
“Does it have anything to do with your absence from school?” Sage asked, and she nodded.
“What happened?” Sophia asked, already worried.
“It’s a long story, and it’s meant to be a secret, but I’ll share,” she muttered, and they paid full attention to her.

AUSTIN’S SUITE***

Austin sat beside Rae who was trying to explain a particular mathematics problem to him. His attention was focused on her as she try her best to explain it.
He noticed a strand of hair on her face, and helped her adjusted it.
“What?” She muttered, looking at him.
“Nothing. There was a strand of hair on your face,”
“You aren’t even paying attention,”
“Was I?”
“You aren’t paying attention like before, is it because your parents already cut you some slack?”
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m sorry for prying, but I saw your message, your friends were rejoicing because your parents finally cut you some slack,”
“Really?”
“Why are you still receiving lectures from me when you don’t even need it anymore?”
“Why are you still coming here then?”
“Because you keep calling me,”
“But you should have said no,”
“What are you insinuating?”
“I kept calling you because I want to be this close to you,” he muttered, and moved his face close to hers.
“What are you doing right now?”
“Push me away if you don’t want it,” he whispered, and she swallowed hard.
He placed a kiss on her lips, and she devoured his lips, responding to the kiss passionately.

The petition against Mr. Packard was approved, and his lawyer went to get bail on probation.
After leaving the prosecutor’s office, he met with Grace at one of his guest house.
“Dad, what’s this? The election is behind the corners, and now all these… my range already dropped, and I might lose at this rate!” She yelled, and he chuckled.
“You can abandon me, Grace, I give you the permission to,”
“Dad…”
“If you can’t even abandon me, then what can you do?” He yelled.
“Dad…” she cried.
“You’re nothing without me, that’s why you are affected by this. You can’t even get married without my involvement, you can’t keep your life together, and you can’t handle the election as well. And you can’t abandon me, either. What can you do on your one, Grace? Nothing. You’re nothing without me,”
“So what should I do?” She cried. “You’re right, I’m nothing with you. I can’t do anything on my own, so what do I do now?” She lament.
“I was able to leave on bail, but the petition was approved, so I’ll have to go to court. In order to get out of this, I’ve to win the trails,”
“How do we do that, dad? They’ve a witness, and evidence. Your connection could only bail you out, do we have to bribe the judge?”
“The judge in charge is not an easy judge, that’s why we need a lawyer that can beat all judges,”
“I’ll get you all the best lawyers, dad,”
“No, you shouldn’t,”
“Dad…”
“Get me only the best lawyer,”
“Who?”
“The best lawyer in the world. Louis Narson,”
“I thought he retired,”
“He might have retired, but that didn’t revoke nis license. His daughter will be the judge in charge, and he never lose a case,”
“Dad, he is currently the president’s advisor, and mentor, do you think he would want to defend you?”
“Then be useful for once. You will get him to represent me,”
“Dad, why me?”
“Because that will be the first time you will be useful. The first hearing is before the final election, so you should guarantee a win, I’ve to be innocent yo guarantee you win, because you can’t abandon me,”
“Dad…”

Mr. Ethan paced around in his warehouse after getting report that Mr. Packard was released.
“Why would they release him? There is so many evidence that could get him locked up till the trial, why would they release him?”
“The Packard’s are really powerful people, he might be plotting a way to escape this,” Leo muttered.
“Of course, he would. He will hire the best lawyers, and come out non guilty,”
“Boss, so what do we do then?”
“We just watch for now. I have another evidence, but I don’t trust that prosecutor fully yet. I’ll have to watch how the first trail goes, before submitting the evidence to the prosecutor. We can’t loose them this time, not after we have gotten him,”

AT A HOTEL^^^

Steven was about to sleep when he heard a knock on the door, he already told all the staffs that he doesn’t need anyone to clean his room, so no one knocks at his door, and whenever he orders something, they usually place a single knock at his door, and leave his order.
He didn’t order anything, and whoever was there wouldn’t stop knocking either, so he angrily went to open the door, and was startled to see his father.
“Dad…” he shuddered, and was about to close the door back when he saw his friends walking towards their direction. “That’s my friends, would you be fine?” He muttered, and his father chuckled.
“Are you now worried about me?”
“You won’t hurt them, would you?”
“Let’s talk later, I will be around,” with that his father left.
“Steve, who is that man?” Austin asked.
“Why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be with your relatives?” Stanley asked.
“Aren’t you going to welcome us in?” Micheal asked
“I’m sorry, guys, I don’t want to get involved with you all anymore. You are my friends, and you might all get hurt because of me,”
“I said we were going to come up with a plan, but you suddenly disappeared again with a lame excuse!” Stanley blurted.
“You shouldn’t have tried to find me, I keep up with you guys online because I didn’t want you to worry, you shouldn’t have bothered. I’m fine on my own!” He said, and was about to close the door, but Micheal held it.
“What nonsense are you spewing right now? Lina almost got hurt because of you, but you saved her. What matters is that no one gets hurt, so we have to come up with a plan to sort this out completely,” Micheal said.
“I don’t want anyone to get hurt because of me…” he exclaimed, and broke down in tears.
