Celia left the bed immediately and went her to bathroom to shower. As the water wet her skin, she reminded herself that her reality is in New York and the big boss can never find her there, even if he find her she is under the mafia’s protection and a mere thug that is a loan shark big boss can never be compared to a maid boss.

“Seems like there is an advantage in this job after all,” she thought

She returned to her bedroom and recapped her nightmare again, confused on how Mr. Dragon suddenly appeared in the picture.

“I really have to get my mind off that Mr. Dragon, many girls have careless nightstand with random strangers on regular basis,” she thought, trying to convince herself with that but another thought struck her mind, “I’m not one of them, I’m Celia,”

To get the thought off her mind, she decide to take a walk. Taking a walk has always been her therapy whenever she was restless.

She opened her door and was startled to see someone by the door.

“Ahhhhh….” she screamed, and he instantly covered her mouth.

She managed to calm down when she looked at his face — he was Jake.

“You could wake the little lady,” he cautioned.

“Why’re you here?” she shouted.

“Nothing,”

“Nothing? You’re snooping around and it’s nothing?! Is that how things run here? I don’t care how you do things over here, but not in my doorway!”

“Are you the same frail lady from yesterday?” he teased, and she gasped as she instantly remembered where she was.

“What? What? What?” she grumbled, in fear.

“I mean no harm. It’s just a little parade and I stopped here,”

“Is that the way you parade the whole residence?” she gasped, even though she knew tha was highly impossible.

“I am little lady’s bodyguard, so you will see me around here often,” with that, he continued his parade.

“Wait! Does that mean I will see you around often?”

He glanced at her and continued on his way without uttering a word.

“So rude. But why do I feel like he was spying on me or something?” she grumbled.
*
She fake a short stroll around Aria’s quarter for a while before going to Aria’s room to meet her already awake.

“Celia,” Aria called, and ran into her embrace.

“You’re already awake, little pumpkin,” she said, and Aria looked at her.

“What’d you just called me?”

“Little… don’t you like it?”

“No one has ever called me that before,”

“Really? You don’t like it?”

“I don’t know,”

“You woke up quite early,” Celia said, changing the topic.

“This is my usual time to wakw up for my morning exercise before preparing for school,”

“Wow. You’re more diligent than I am,” she teased, and Aria smiled.

“Let’s go, I want to jog around,” Aria said, and she nodded.

They both went out of the room and were startled to see Jake by the door.

“Jake,” Aria called, and embraced him.

“Good morning, little lady,”

“Celia just called me “little pumpkin” but you and every others… gross…” she whined, and Celia chuckled.

“They’re boring,” Celia said, and Aria nodded.

“Yeah, they’re boring,”

“Are you going to jog?” Jake asked.

“Yes. Why’re you here?”

“I’ve been assigned by boss to be your personal bodyguard,”

“But I’ve other bodyguards why will dad chose you when you’re his personal assistant?”

“I follow orders, I don’t question so I can’t answer that, ma’am,”

“No, you can. You’re here to spy on Celia, but you don’t want to tell me,”

“What?” Celia gasped.

“You’re mistaken, ma’am, the boss didn’t tell me his motive, but all together, your nanny is too young, I doubt if sbe can even take care of herself,” Jake said, and Celia shot him a glare.

Aria kicked his leg, and he pretended to tremble.

“Arggh…” he whined.

“That’s what you get from insulting Celia! No one is going to harm me, so I don’t need to be protected!” she lashed, and Celia smiled.

“I’m sorry, ma’am,”

“Don’t you dare follow me! Let’s go, Celia,”
**
Celia froze on her feet staring at Lord Dom who smiled cheerfully as Aria ran into his embrace.

“What? Does he smiles?” she almost shouted, and she felt someone behind her.

She turned around in fear to see Jake. She couldn’t believe she almost tried to be his friend.

“He only smile at her, if she gets hurt, you will never get to smile,” Jake said, frightening Celia.

“What? What? Didn’t Aria warned you not to follow us!”

“Little lady! Why are you so rude,” he snapped.

“At least I’m not boring,” she teased, sticking out her tongue.

“So childish,” he grumbled.

“I heard that,” she said, and he scoffed before composing himself.
*
Lord Dom pecked his daughter’s cheek and looked at Jake who bowed immediately, and Celia greeted him softly.

“Daddy, Celia called me a little pumpkin,” Aria said, smiling cheerfully.

“Oh… so do you prefer little pumpkin now? You’re no longer a little lady?” he teased, and she giggled.

“Daddy, I don’t want Jake to be my bodyguard,”

“Why? You get along with Jake,”

“He calls me little lady like everyone, he never calls me little pumpkin,”

“Oh… he is just a dlck head. Aria, respect comes first before anything. You’re the little lady, you’re my little princess so everyone here must respect you because we’re both the bosses here,” he said, and she smiled.

“Daddy, what is a dlck head?”

“Let’s say… they’re people like Jake,”

“No! You shouldn’t educate the kid that way!” Celia snapped, and they all looked at her.

“Did you just snapped at me?” Lord Dom lashed and Celia boldly dragged Aria away from him.

“Aria, don’t listen to him,” she said, and the men looked at her.

Jake wanted to drag her away, but Lord Dom cautioned him.

“I shouldn’t listen to my daddy…” Aria grumbled.

“W that. Your daddy is… let’s say, old-fashioned,”

“What?” Lord Dom blurted, and Jake clenched his fists.

“How…”

“Look at me, I’m 19, I’m not as old as your daddy, that’s why I can call you a pumpkin. Words like dlck head is only used by people as old as your daddy. You should use words like”pumpkin, berry, cutie, merry, sugar-pie…” words like that instead of that old-fashioned old,” she said, and Aria smiled brightly.

“Yes! I love those words! Daddy, you’re old-fashioned!” Aria said, smiling broadly, and Lord Dom scoffed.

“Old-fashioned….” he slurred, with clenched fists.

Celia bowed lightly, and looked away in fear. Even though she was scared of him, she still felt it’s wrong for him to educate the child with vulgar words.

“Daddy, let’s jog, sugar-pie,” Aria said, and they all gasped.

Celia started hiccuping and looked away to avoid Lord Dom’s gaze.

“Yes, let’s jog,” he said, and shot Celia a glare before jogging away.

“Daddy, you’re jogging too fast!” Aria shouted.

“I believe I’m overwhelmed with excited to hear up call me that. I’m so energized,” he said, and she smiled brightly running to catch his pace.
**
Celia prepared Aria for school and escorted her to the main dinning hall to have breakfast with her father while she stood behind with Jakewatching them eat as her stomach grumbled, savoring the aroma.

“Daddy, I don’t want Jake to spy on Celia for you,” Aria said

“Did Jake tell you that?”

“No. But I know,”

“Jake is not spying on Celia, to put it simply, I trust Jake and you trust Celia,”

“Why does that matter?”

“You trust Celia to be your nanny, but I trust Jake to protect you,”

“But I have four bodyguards,”

“And now you have one that you can play with,” he said, and she smiled.

She finished having breakfast and Lord Dom gestured Jake to take her away while he have a chat with Celia.

“You… what’s your deal?”

“What…” she stuttered.

“Are you trying to challenge the way I raise my daughter?”

“I don’t dare,”

“So, what do you call what you did earlier?!”

“That?!” she snapped, and he gasped.

“Did you just snapped at me?”

“Sir, I’m terrified by you, you know that, but Aria is a sweet girl, and it’s my job to raise her properly,”

“So I’m raising her badly?”

“Not that. But you should restrain from using vulgar words with the child. She might be your daughter, but she is too young for those words,”

“Who are you to tell me how to communicate with my daughter?!”

“As her nanny, her welfare is my priority,”

“And it isn’t mine?!”

“I’m sorry, sir, I really don’t mean to upset you. I’m just trying to raise her properly,”she trembled.

“And I’m doing the opposite?”

“Sir…”

“Nanny, Aria is my daughter, and being my daughter makes her different from all other kids. I don’t know the world you lived in, but this is her world, my world, your new world. I believe you understand what I meant,” he said, and she nodded, “Buzz off,” he muttered, and she looked at him.

“Sir?”

“I said leave!” he lashed, and she nodded in fear.

She counted few steps away and spun around to look at him.

“Sir, I understand everything you said, but I still believe that Aria can live like every other kids even if she is in this world. She can decide how to live when she is wise enough to make a decision for herself,” with that, she left.

She put everything at stake to say those words, and now she is officially on his bad side.

“Goodness, Celia, your mouth…” she almost cried.
**
**
Celia followed Jake to pick up Aria from school later in the day with another van tailing behind them.

On thier way back, she asked Aria after her day and unlike other kids she didn’t have anything to say— obviously she doesn’t get along with anyone at school.

The rest of the ride was in silence until they noticed that they were being followed by some cars, and the bodyguards alerted Jake through a walkie-talkie.

“Little lady, don’t be frightened. You’re safe with me,” Jake assured.

“What happened?” Celia asked.

“Are we being followed?” Aria asked.

“Don’t be frightened,” he reassured.

“What’s happening?” Celia asked in fear.

“Nothing. Maybe someone is trying to kidnap me again,”

“What?” Celia shouted in fear.

“I told you, anyone could harm me,” she said.

“He was right, your world is different,” Celia almost cried, and started shivering in fear, “I should have called that priest while I can,” she muttered, remembering the priest from the Catholic Church.

The cars following them were able to hijack their van, and Jake ordered the driver to stop the car. Theo car stopped, and Jake kicked the driver out and took over the driver’s seat.

“Gosh. Will he be fine?” Celia gasped.

“Little lady is our priority,” he blurted, and Celia looked at Aria who was relent.

“Don’t worry, Jake will protect us that’s why daddy assigned him to me,” Aria assured, and Celia nodded in fear.

Another car crossed them from the front and they all gasped.

“It’s a trap!” Celia shouted.

“It’s from the east,” Jake muttered, and took his gun.

The van in front of them stopped, and a lady alighted frim it.

“Bianca?” Aria called.

“It’s lady Bianca,” Jake said, and looked at Aria.

“Let me out,” Aria said.

“What? Who’s she? You want to go out?” Celia trembled.

Jake alighted from the car and opened the door for Aria who alighted from the car immediately.

“It’s not from the east, it’s me. Hi, Aria,” the lady said, and Aria scoffed in disgust.
