Paulina arrived home and she urged the maid that normally attend to her to bring the maid who collected her luggage the other day to her brought another maid to her and she did.
“It was you, the one with my luggage. Where did you kept it?”
“Miss Paulina, madam asked me to trash them.”
“What? But my valuables- are there. My phone is there and other important things.”
“I’m sorry, ma’am.”
“I’ll go search for it.”
“Madam, we already sent out all the trash form then, you can’t find it.” The maid said, and Paulina let out a sigh before going to her room.
“I should have collected that phone from Sage.” She thought. “No, he has done more than enough for me already, I should’t be that shameless.” She protest, turning on her bed.

HOLLAND HIGHSCHOOL ^^^

The school board held a press conference to announce the volunteer program ke and the chairman attended to render a speech. After the press conference, all the students assembled in the parking lot ready to enter the bus.
The students all wore matching shirts designed for the programe, gathered at the parking lot waiting for instructions before boarding the bus, and many of them didn’t stop complaining.
Paulina stood alone staring into space when
Sage ran up to her.
“Lina, I’m glad I catch you.” He said, panting heavily.
“Sage, what are you doing here?”
“To give this to you, you didn’t call me yesterday.” He said, and gave her the phone.
“Sage…”
“Don’t say no.” He muttered.
“Sage, what are you doing here?” Alicia asked approaching them.
“Lina left something yesterday.” Sage said, and looked at Alicia who wore a safety jacket on her shirt. “What’s that for?” He teased.
“To be safe. Dad won’t let me leave without promising to wear this.”
“It’s just a volunteer session, you aren’t going to war.” He teased, and they all laughed.
“You can go now Sage, Lina is safe with me.”
“Yeah, I should leave. Bye, girls.” With that he left.

Lia arrived dragging a luggage and went to join Ava who seemed disgusted by the press attention drawn to her.
“Hi, babe.” Lia waved.
“Why did you pack so much for eight hours trip?” Ava blurted.
“Just some necessaries. Even though we’re going to a rural area, we could still create some contents out of it.” Lia said, and Ava scoffed in disgust.
“I see…”
“Rae can’t even come because of her suspension.” Lia grumbled.
“Good for her, at least she would escape your lousy content and this creepy programe without getting penalized.” Ava blurted.
“Yeah.I wish I was suspended as well. She is currently somewhere in New York enjoying the blissful weather.” Lia whined.
“Good for her!” Ava blurted.
“But you could still take advantage of the moment.” She giggled, and Ava hissed before looking away. “Seems like the press are following on us there.” She added in delightfully.
“And that disgust me more! They won’t stop bringing their cameras to me.” Ava blurted, and Lia chuckled.
“Seems like some people wish they were in your shoes.” Lia said, and pointed at few girls who were trying to get the press attention.

The teachers started directing them to the bus, and the bus took them all to the airport to board a plane to their destination.
Alicia stood side by side with Paulina talking about random stuffs when Lia and Ava walked up to her.
“Look who found a new bestie.” Lia teased, and Alicia jaw fell.
“I’m willing to give you a second chance.” Ava said, and Alicia face brightened. “Don’t get too excited, I’m still thinking about it.” With that Ava hit her shoulder against hers and walked past her.
“That’s what traitors like you deserve. Enjoy the moment with your new squad.” Lia added, and followed.
“Just ignore them.” Paulina said, and Alicia glared at her.
“What do you know?” Alicia blurted, and left.
The students all boarded the plan and to Paulina surprise, Alicia sat beside her with her gaze focused on Ava and Lia who were chattering.

The MASS were the only students who traveled on first class, and Austin didn’t stop complaining till they arrived.
They arrived at the closet airport to their destination, and the school provided a bus to take everyone to their destinations expect the MASS who followed a private car.
They arrived at their destination and met their tent already filled with people anticipating their arrival.
“Gosh, this is gonna be more stressful than I expected.” Austin blurted.
“I heard enough, Austin! My ears are gonna bleed.” Mike lashed, and alighted from the car.
“It better do.” Austin shouted, and they all come down as well.

The students were randomly divided to different tasks, some tends to elderly, assisting the doctors and nurses present, some tends to the children, and some to the disabled people with the press videoing everything – expect the MASS who choose theit own tasks, and Micheal choose the elderly section because that was were Paulina was assigned.
“I’m sorry, dude. But you’re alone this time.” Stanley said, and they all lookEd at him.
“What are you talking about?” Austin asked.
“I’m heading to the kids section, I can’t attend to those grannies. Just look at them.” Stanley said, and they all looked at them.
“Yeah, Stan is right buddy, let’s go to the kids section or just hide away.” Austin said.
“That won’t do, we’ve to appear in the camera.” Micheal said, and Austin exhaled heavily.
“Then let’s go for the lighter task.” Austin said.
“I think attending to those granny will be fun. I don’t even get along well with kids.” Micheal said.
“You think that will be fun? Why don’t you become a nurse instead of a director?” Austin lashed rolling his eyes.
“You think that will be fun, but I think being with the kids will be better. Since our choices differs on this one, then let’s split up. Let’s go, Steve.” Stanley said, and left with Steven.
“Hey, where you are going? I thought we all agreed to stick together? Wait for me!” Austin shouted, and ran after them.
Micheal chuckled staring at their retreating back before eye searching for Paulina until he found her.
“My son, could you help me with that?” A granny asked, pointing at her walking stick.
“Sure, granny.” Micheal said and helped her pick the walking stick assisting her to seat, and the principal called the press attention to him.
“This is so disgusting!” A girl shouted, and pushed a kid who touched her away before running off.
Theo principal chuckled and went to the press director.
“You know what to do, right?” He asked, and the director nodded.
“It will be erased.” The director assured.

Micheal devoted his time to assisting the medical experts , watching Paulina who seems to be enjoying a blast. She laughed and make jokes with most of them, and later gathered few of them tell them a story which caught the press attention. She was one of the few people enjoying the moment, and while watching her, Micheal found himself enjoying it as well.
Paulina wanted to assist an elderly man up to get his balance, but they both almost fell in the process and Micheal was fast to rushed to them.
He assisted the man and held Paulina who freed herself from him.
“Thank you.” She blurted, and continued tending to others.
“Be more careful.” He muttered before leaving.

Lia was assigned to the disabled people section, and she was having a tough time with everything
A blind man grabbed her unaware to get his balance, and she screamed pushing him away.
“Arrghhhhh… I can’t do this anymore. Dadddyyy…” She cried, and ran off.
Few people laughed at her as she found her way to search for Ava who was attending to children.
“Babe, you really have to save me.” She cried, and Ava chuckled.
“Seems like you couldn’t take advantage of the moment as you planned.” Ava teased.
“I can’t do this anyone.” She whined.
“Look who we have here.” Ava said pointing at Alicia who was planning games with some children.
“She seems to be the one enjoying the moment. Even you, you were having a blast attending to them.”
“Let’s go have some fun.” Ava muttered staring at Alicia and Lia giggled.
“Some fun, after like forever.” Lia said, and Ava smirked.
They both went to Alicia who excused herself from the kids wondering what they want.
“Where is your new bestie? Seems like she dumped you for some old geezer.” Lia teased.
“Are you gonna grab your second chance now, or you’re still having fun?” Ava blurted.
“I’ll take the second chance.” Alicia muttered in excitement.
“Then we have a deal.” Ava said, and smirked.

The principal announced that the programe was coming to an end, and started rounding up when Alicia walked up to Paulina.
“Hey, Lina, are you ready to leave?” Alicia asked, and Paulina nodded.
“Yeah, you?”
“I want to use the restroom, do you know where the restroom is around here?”
“Yeah, down there, go straight down and turn right.”
“Can you escort me?” She asked, and Paulina nodded.
They get to the restroom, and Alicia asked her to wait outside for her, and she waited for almost 10 minutes before Alicia come out. They were about to leave when a boy grabbed Alicia bag and ran off.
“Heyyyy… my bag.” Alicia shouted, and they both ran after the thief.
“I don’t think we can caught him.” Lina said already exhausted.
“What do I do? The bus is about to leave and my valuables are there.” Alicia cried.
“Let’s try to look around again.”
“Let’s split up.” Alicia suggested, and Paulina looked at her.
“We should?”
“Yes, you go that way and I go this way. We should meet back in 10 minutes before the bus leaves.” Alicia said, and she nodded.

Paulina searched around for the theif but couldn’t find him, she heard the announcement for all students should board the bus so she started finding her way back when two thugs approached her.
“Hey kiddo, you must be here for the volunteer.” Thug 1 said walking closer to her
She counted her steps back in fear hoping someone will come rescue her from them. She already went far away from their tent into the town so there was no body she could call for help, and they seem to be in a remote area.
“We..,, we- weeee… already concluded the volunteer, so, bye.” She shuddered and wanted to leave, but the other thug held her back.
“Not too fast, kiddo. We don’t hurt big guns.” Thug 2 said.
“I’m not a big gun, I’m a scholarship student. You won’t get anything from me, so let me go.” She cried.
“No! You’ve a lot more to offer than you think.” Thug 1 said licking his lips in lust scaring her even more.
“I’ve nothing to offer you.” She gathered courage to shout, and hit him where the sun doesn’t meet before she ran off.
Thug 2 groan in pain, and thug 1 ran after her. She ran as fast as she could. She ran shouting for help but there was nobody around to help. She was almost loosing hope when she saw one of the granny she attend ti earlier.
“Granny, granny he is chasing me.” She cried and held the woman.
The granny called the attention of her giant son scaring the thug away.
“Thanks a lot granny.” She said in gratitude.
“Don’t mention my dear. I thought you guys left already.” The granny said.
“Yes, we are about to leave. I should get going now, thanks a lot granny, thanks a lot sir.” She said, and the granny embraced her.
“That thug is a hired man. He doesn’t go around attacking young girls, he could come back, I’ll take you to your tent.” The man said, and Paulina accepted in gratitude.
The man helped her to the tents before leaving, and she hurried back to the toilet to get her bag because she dropped it earlier when she wanted to run after the thief. She didn’t find her bag where she dropped it and had to enter the toilet to look for it.
She found it inside one of the toilets when the door locked abruptly behind her.
“Who is there?” She shouted barging the door.
She barged the door severally shouting for help but she got no response. She took her phone to call someone for help but only Sage’s number was saved there so she called him immediately.
The service at the place was very bad, so the call didn’t connect. She tried severally but it was all a failed attempt so she dropped the phone devastated and started hitting the door again.
“Is anyone there? Someone is locked in here…” She cried, but it yields nothing.
She cried uncontrollably and had time to think of everything. If those thugs are hired men like the granny’s son claimed, then it could only mean everything was a set up from the start. Alicia deceived her, and they locked her in the toilet.
“She must’ve been in this with Ava, this must be the second chance that Ava wanted to give her. I should have known.” She cried.
She stayed in the bathroom trying Sage’s number but it yields nothing. She cried hoping for a miracle, she was there for close to two hours before the door opened.
She raised her head up to look at her savior and saw Michael. It instantly reminded her of when she was locked up in the bathroom at school when she was younger and her childhood friend Mikey came to her rescue.

FLASHBACK to when Paulina was 6-year-old.***

Paulina was bullied at school, and was later locked up in the restroom. She barged the door in tears crying for help, but no one came to her rescue.
She was there for almost an hour in tears when the door opened, and she looked up to see Mikey.

Paulina looked at her Micheal, and she could see her childhood friend in him.
“Lina, are you ok?” Micheal asked, and tears flow freely from her face.
“Mikey.” She cried, and embraced him.
